The Colorful World of Disney Epic Mickey

You think Mickey would just be arrested for breaking and entering that wizards house.

I'm pretty interested in seeing how Epic Mickey turn out to be.  Won't really affect me because I don't own a Wii, but regardless I'm curious.

Can't shake the feeling that this game is a childrens game. No more, no less.
 
And also, Mickey is a douche.

This makes 3 wii games that I want this holiday.  
1-Kirby 
2-Donkey Kong  
3-Mickey

Honestly, I originally expected this game to be a lot darker and have more Steampunk elements, and just be more.. Not cartoon-y. I mean, I know there's no way possible to have Mickey Mouse and NOT have him be in cartoon form, really.. But still. This just feels to me like Disney is trying to jump into what more mainstream gamers are doing, but still keep it  friendly enough that the rating stays down. I should've realized no Disney game would be truly dark and gruesome, haha.

 It's just another typical Nintendo platformer. A Mario Galaxy clone in Disney drag. There's nothing necessarily wrong with that, but I'm having a hard time understanding what's supposed to be so great about it.

I have been looking forward to this game since I saw some concept art on a Disney fansite. 4+ years ago

Still reminds me of Mario Sunshine <shrugs>

I am so excited. It's so cool seeing the "remains" of Small World and Peter Pan and the Castle. My sisters played it at PAX (I was elsewhere, sad) and said it was fun. Can't wait!

I don't have a Wii, but I will play Duck Tales on my NES in honor of Epic Mickey. 
 
And then I'll give my special lady an Epic Mickey, too.

I really love how the game's featuring theme park attractions. I'll lose my shit if Spaceship Earth shows up in there. 
 
Trippy Disney pastiche worlds seem to be a very interesting, modern  way of manipulating one's nostalgic tendencies :P.

This game looks like a generic PS2 platformer. I don't get it.

If this game isn't 90% about Pegleg Pete I'm sending it back.

Can't wait for this to get ported to the ps3

Looks pretty cool, but still won't get it.

So hyped.

I am stoked for this game but I have a little worry. In all the gameplay videos I have seen , the platforming has come across as being very stiff and awkward. Now this may not be the case at all, seeing as though I have never played Epic Mickey, but it certainly looks it. I don't know about you but nothing gets me more frustrated than imprecise, finicky platforming. Hopefully this won't actually be the case. I have really high hopes for this one.

My Wii is coming in tomorrow and can't wait for this game.

I was surprised to see the "May contain inappropriate material..." warning at the start of a Mickey Mouse game video.

Good to see a good quality Disney platformer once again, it has been way too long. I just wished they made a version for the HD consoles.
