Way to make a game where just about every character to me seems rather unappealing, some shots of them look like they aren't even finished with the character's model/texture others just look like a half-assed design.

This is what would have happened if God Hand had taken itself seriously.

The main character looks WAY different than the Japanese version of this game.  Japanese one looks like a FF main character.

I just like that their ad campaign and pr campaign for this game is basically "You will not like or understand this game under any circumstances until you play it for about four hours, but at that point you might think it's pretty cool!"

will Gamefly, definitely not gonna buy, and why fight in lingerie? Is it kinda like in anime the bathing suits render the wearer invulnerable to damage rule?

A female warrior  fighting in her nighties, brilliant Square Enix. The only thing missing is the boob physics and more girl on girl fighting.
 
Sadly most of the JRPGs worth playing are on the PS2.

first video i watch of that game ... i felt like there was some buzz about it, all those updates, topics on game websites about it, but it looks like trash

Squeenix seems to be getting better and better at making annoying, unappealing female characters that make me never want to play the game.

I'm curious what about Nier's daughters fatal disease caused her to turn into a skeleton puppet like thing. 
 
Also, this game seems cool, I'm interested in seeing how it actually plays.

One thing that I don't get about the Japanese:
Why the f--- do they have to sex them up, and yet make them look like little girls, while at the same time make them look independent?
