Well, its sitting at a 69% on Metacritic and from its release to Feb 2010 (a month before the sequel was announced) it had only sold 350,000 copies in NA and Europe. "

I get a mad Half life and Perfect Dark influence off these weapons, not that thats a bad thing. PD had some pretty imaginative stuff.

350,000 copies sold isn't exactly terrible.  Sure, it's not a million seller, but there have been games that sold less that have seen sequels.  Got anything else? "

Does it at least have Wii Motion Plus?  If it does...i still won't play it; but i'd love to see a quicklook with jeff getting super pissed at the controls.  Or anyone really, but Jeff normally has the best reactions...to the megaman quicklook!

Nit picking and Nerd bitching aside. I like the look and functionality of a lot of these guns. That gun that makes you invisible or the sniper that can shoot through walls would make multiplayer chaos.  
 
I've never played the first one. To the fair Ive never played a fps on the Wii before I don't think. Visually this one looks pretty good. Here's hoping it turns out well.

To be completely honest, I always thought the first game showed huge potential. It both looked and controlled better than most, if not all Wii shooters that I've seen. Ignoring everything I know about the first game, I actually kinda wanna play this just from looking at the trailer. Sure, it's giving me a solid "previous-generation" vibe, but sometimes that doesn't have to be a bad thing, you know?
 
As for why anyone wanted to make a sequel, it wouldn't surprise me if the developer straightened out and told Sega, "Yeah, the first game didn't come out great, but did you see the tech we managed to make for it?? Now that we have that, give us another year or two to focus entirely on game design and we can make something truly awesome with it!"
 
I think I'd fall for that if I was their publisher. Kinda looking forward to seeing how this game turns out.

I didn't know this game would have weapons...

The first one was okay, but this looks like a genuine improvement. Both visually - I just saw the FEAR 3 "Divergent Co-Op trailer", and I gotta say, Conduit 2 doesn't look that bad standing up to that game - and gameplay-wise. Looks like they're pushing more fantasy guns with the sequel, which is - 100% of the time - the superior way to go. I'm so sick of FPS' with the same boring loadouts of M16's and SCARS. Seeing sniper rifles that can shoot through walls, and assault rifles that can turn you invisible, and guns that fire swarms of insects? That's cool as hell. 
 
Looking forward to this. Certainly more interesting than "me-too Military FPS no.612". But of course, with Bulletstorm and Duke Nukem Forever coming out this year too, it still has some competition to stave off.

Wow, it looked really good... For a Wii game

First off, the game has classic controller support, so you don't need to use the motion controls at all. Second, this game looks great. I agree that it has a very Perfect Dark look and feel to it. Since RARE no longer makes games for gamers, I guess this is the closest we'll ever get to Perfect Dark 2. 
 
Also, why are people so against other consoles having good games? "I don't have a Wii, so this Wii game sucks. " THAT is the sort of attitude that makes gamers look bad. Leave that crap over at the NeoGaf forums, don't pollute Giant Bomb with that kind of inept commentary. 

That looked pretty good-but I would have said the same about the prequel.

I will buy it , played first one and enjoyed it enough to get this one. Better than some of x360 crap with pretty HD graphics.

Lot's of peoples still playing the first one on multi.

This looks like this generation of last-gen games that were half-cool back in the days of the late Xbox life cycle. Reminds me of Psi-Ops and so on, those better than average games that never found any solid ground.

Speaking of games that don't need sequels. 

It says a lot about your game when Halo 1 still looks better than you.
