I'm dangerously tempted to get into this game...

edit: I still think it would be helpful if Brad skimmed over his character's powers at the start of each match.

I'm loving this feature, Brad. The closest thing to an Endurance Run we've got around here.

Daily Dota is my favorite!

Edited by OriginalYellow

@blair: What in the WORLD are you talking about? BIOFORGE???

Also, good stuff brad, i agree with Luddite, it would help the viewers who don't know every hero if you explained your hero more. Especially since were following your view all the time!

Daily DOTA is now my favorite feature. Summer needs to get here so I can go whole hog into DOTA 2

Posted by mintyice

@luddite: I got into it because of this feature haha

Why is this still going and why am I still watching and loving it?

You got me playing Dota 2 Brad, hope you're happy now.

Wow! 2 hour Dota session, this should be fun.

YOU made me start playing this, you monster! I have a career to shape!

@blair:

I totally agree. I have no compunction nor time to play but I look forward to these every day. Last time I experienced this was with the adventures of Charlie.

Posted by Shaunage

Yeah thanks Brad. I've fallen into a deep DOTA-hole after saying for ages I wasn't interested in it.

Edited by Milkman

Forgive me but who exactly is Crispy outside of a DotA context? Is he just a guy that Brad knows that's real good at the game?

Posted by Mystyr_E

I bet Starcraft 2 is that ex who got dumped by just being ignored and Dota 2's the new squeeze

Posted by iRage

Brad, you should orbwalk harass more when playing Clinkz; it's key to early laning with him. Loving this new daily dota feature it's making me want to play again, haha.

Posted by Jettblackk

I was just starting to learn dota when this feature began! Perfect timing! Keep it up! Wish brad had done this for SC2 as well.....

This game looks dreamy at the frame rate it runs at, glad the giantbomb player supports it (if it is in fact running above 30fps)

The Daily Dota VII: Bradley's Return

Posted by nate6858

That last match was really interesting. I could be wrong but I think that was the first one on this feature where the team with significantly less kills ended up winning.

I love watching these though. I played the original DOTA very very heavily ... over a couple of weekends at LAN parties many years ago. So I played it enough to finally start getting it, and then left my friend's dining room, NEVER TO PLAY DOTA AGAIN. One of these days when I finally get around to building a gaming PC I will probably just say F it and get on the DOTA2 train.

@milkman: I'm just a duder from the site that started playing with everyone. Of course, my undeniable beauty and unmistakable charm left them with no choice but to fall irrevocably in love -- and often, lust -- with me.

I'm dangerously close to falling into a dota hole because of this feature.

Man Zeus didn't even die in the second game, he's so good! I bet he's really good looking too.

Brad's Clinkz play is kinda painful to watch ^^.

Man, Kessler's seduction was soooo good.

I like this feature. I'm starting to DOTA because of it. Huskar looked pretty rad, though for some reason I started playing with Lina. May take the advice of just trying all random to see if I can learn stuffs.

I like that guy but I'm having a terrible time farming him up to Orchid fast enough to make any difference in the match. Maybe I need to start roaming and setting up ganks as soon as I hit 6 instead of sticking to my lane so long... except that ganking is what I need the Orchid for.

Sure, I'll start doing that. Half the time I'm learning the skills myself at the start of the match anyway. :D

Got back into Dota 2 after a bit of a break thanks to this and TI3 and its seriously pulled me back in!

Watching these daily dota videos is like watching the scenes in the matrix where they are watching the code scroll by.

Brad: Definitely look up "orb-walking", which allows for much more effective harass with heroes like Clinkz that have an ability that modifies your regular attack.

YouTube Video explaining this

I think the gist of it is that if you have a unique attack modifier applied to a single attack, you won't draw creep aggro, so you can harass the enemy hero farther behind the scrimmage line without drawing too much damage (turning the spell on auto-cast will not provide this benefit).

Heroes that this applies to: Clinkz, Drow Ranger, Enchantress, Huskar, Outworld Devourerer, Silencer, Viper

Also, if you walk forward just a bit as soon as your attack executes, you can chase faster by cancelling the back-swing of your attack animation (which is there for show, and doesn't need to complete for the attack to execute).

Wonder how many Daily Dota's it will take before Brad is saying "just one more game!" so many times that it becomes a problem.

I hope brad remembers that because he's queueing with people better than him, his enemies are generally above his skill level due to matchmaking and so his allies will carry him most games and brad will rarely shine in the spotlight (with the occasional exception).

not trying to be negative, I just mean brad would appear to do much better if his allies weren't so good.

if you ever feel like hating the game brad, it's because of the people you're hanging out with.

I feel like I'm watching the same video every time just with varying duration. Come on Brad show me something I ain't never seen, I stepped in the house party with a gangsta lean Giant Bomb gangstas are striking back again, ready to ride in the 'lac again. I still don't think I'm any closer to understanding this game.

Fun watching these games, I noticed Brad didn't even touch his Urn all game with Huskar. He needs to be a little more aware with his items, that said I still have that problem. Just a little easier to notice it when you're not playing.

They basically finished BioForge in 2 episodes. Great feature, I'm not complaining, but it wasn't an Endurance Run in the classical sense.
