The Dark Hour Chimes Again In Persona 3 Portable

Away on vacation and this is waiting for me at home, can't freaking wait, only 3 days left...

I love this version of this game so far. Quick question, was Tanaka's Home Shopping Channel in the original P3? I feel like it was added post P4 because I think I would remember such a damn catchy tune.

After watching the Endurance Run I want to play a new Persona game. But all the headshots in Persona 3 are just too disturbing for me. If they released it with new animations for releasing the personas I would definitely buy it. But as it is I may just have to wait for P5...

P3:FES was amazing and I`m ready to dive back in as the female character and see how this whole butterfly effect they`ve been talking about is going to change how the story unfolds. Plus with the combat innovations of P4.

Why isn't anyone excited about Manlizabeth? Actually, his name is Theodore, you guys. I think he's pretty awesome :(
 
Aside from that, if you guys are thinking of doing an ER, I also suggest the original one on the PS2, simply because that's where P3 started. FES is just an expansion for after-game events and some plot hole filling, and P3P's main point was to add a girl's sid, which I think is great. The only reason why I think guys wouldn't like playing the girl's side is courting all the dudes (except for Shinjiro because everyone loves or is gay for Shinjiro. Oh baby.). The new S. Links are a great addition imo.
 
BUT! Don't expect it to be Persona 4.  Seriously, don't. Atlus is getting more mainstream with each release of its Persona games.  P3 gets to be slow going at times, and the grinding can be really tedious. There isn't as much humor as there was in P4 either,  and the possible endings are quite depressing. Overall, it's much darker. But, that's not to say it isn't good; P3 is fantastic in its own right.
 
I do like the fact that P3 has a girl's side, even though P2 technically had one as well, but playing as a girl with the S. Links system is even better. I'm not annoyed at the amount of releases and bonuses for P3 (Junpei's hat anyone?), but I do hope Atlus moves on from this game after P3P.

All the stuff they are adding looks interesting, but I don't think I could take playing another 60+ hours just to see all the new content from the female side. For as much as I liked about Persona 3, parts of that game can just become a drag, especially around the middle when nothing is happening plotwise.

I love the PS2 version of this game, and this looks wicked cool, but I'll have to wait until I get a PSP.  Still, when that happens, this will be the first game I buy.

This is the first atlus trailer I have ever scene that actually explained the game in any way shape or form. If I'd never played a persona game before, from this trailer I'd actually be able to understand a little bit what the games about, which is alot more than I can say for other atlus trailers.

ffffff I need to find me a PSP and soon. :|  I've only played the original P3 release, and the only thing stopping me from playing FES is this. I want a female protagonist, dammit!

man i really love the art style for this game. wish it was the same for in game graphics, but that is a fools dream i guess.

Someone here ruined the ending of this game for me and i lost interest, i will continue someday though.

" I'm quite impressed with this trailer. Atlus USA may do great localizations, but their advertising can sometimes leave something to be desired. They either just translate Japanese trailers into English, or if they do make one themselves they often appear rather low budget. Not that I hold it against them, but this definitely feels like a much higher quality trailer than I've seen from them.

Is this our (only) chance to get Junpei's hat? 
 
Also, there's selectable costumes, FeMC, and some other stuff I don't remember. I'm impressed that they managed to get everything working on the PSP with only the removal of the 3d element of the overworld. 
 
I hope they offer it on the PSN because my disc drive broke :< Although honestly I'd buy it just for the improvements and the hat (I have Minato's headphones [not the ones that say P3] so you know how I roll regarding merch)

The next thing I will get for my PSP, which I NEVER use.

It's nice to see that they're taking all the gameplay improvements from P4 and implementing them in P3P. Otherwise, I'd doubt I'd even consider it.
