@rayeth: DK is the only reason I went to CEO this weekend and it was glorious! The arcade cab they had was amazing, the game was fresh and hot off the presses, latest build, it was so good. Dave mentioned on the stream last week we should be seeing some type of compatibility demo in the next few weeks. I cant wait

Got to actually play this a month ago. It is an experience that must be felt in person; the game is legitimately fun.

• At no point was Divekick only two characters, the least it's ever been was 5 when the prototype version debuted at UFGT8 last year, Dive, Kick, Kung Pao, Mr. N and Redacted.
• Divekick won't be a real tournament fighting game? Tell that to the 100+ people who entered Divekick at CEO this weekend (4th only behind SF, Marvel and Injustice) and the 12,000 who watched the finals on Saturday.
• This isn't related to Divekick, but for the record, in its 3 years at EVO Mortal Kombat has never been a side attraction, it's been a fully featured official tournament.

I think they need to have a character subtlety based on someone from the Bomb Squad. I haven't seen coverage of this game anywhere other than Giant Bomb.

@sooty: Because despite the fact that its premise is an FGC joke, the actual game has an incredible amount of mindgames and strategy involved. It's all about knowing when, where, and how to attack, and figuring out what your opponent is thinking about these things at the same time.

It's actually a lot of fun to play if you actually play it properly and not just mash. It's surprisingly deep and the Iron Galaxy guys have done a good job actually making characters as balanced as possible. A lot of people give this game so much shit because of it's presentation but if you actually try it out and play against people who know what they're doing it's pretty good. No need for great execution, it's all mind games.

Nope it's based on a REAL PERSON named Mark Julio AKA Markman who is also a prominent member of the community and is responsible for designing the Mad Catz Fighting Game sticks and works as the community and sponsorship manager of Mad Catz.

All I have to say is that I kinda want Dave Lang and Iron Galaxy to do their own version of The Office like in these videos. Just imagine Dave Lang cursing everyone out every week...
