The shield looks really bad and the way it pops up out of nowhere looks stupid.

i dont like how the axe guy just stares at you. theyre trying to show off their new character technology but it doesnt seem much better than before. they just dont get how to make dudes not super creepy.

he just STARES AT YOU. and hes holding the axe perfectly in place without looking at it.

come on bethesda.. you can do better than that.

This is really not looking so hot. Slick, but bland. I feel like I'm just looking at Oblivion again--the tech has improved but the direction has not.

GOD DAMN the compression artifacts are so fucking annoying. ESP in HD.

The environments look very nice. I hope they reduce the size of the skill gain messages though, I don't see the need to have a great honking text display telling me my Diaperwearing skill has improved by 0.1 in the middle of a battle. I'm also not sure of the benefit of being able to zoom and rotate objects either.

@beef_melody: Well that depends do you care about how your equipment looks are simply about their stats? The benefit to being able to get a close look at your stuff is all cosmetic.

I for one refused to use the glass or daedric armor in oblivion even though they were the best armor for the giving type because they were ugly as sin.

at least they are not dicks to their fans.. like bioware...

It's funny, Oblivion is one of the few PC games that I bargained on being awesome based on a lot of reviewers. I bought it, found it really daunting and a little "too huge" in scope. I actually ended up returning it. I dunno, maybe I'm just a sucker for a good borderline-linear game. I absolutely adore the Witcher 2 though. I just can't get into the combat in these games, which is almost vertigo inducing.

Some people bagging on this for being old footage but whatever you know not everyone has the time to eat up every piece of media for a game when its first released! And as someone that hadnt seen this footage until now im glad I did cause it looks great.

The only bad thing is now Im contemplating upgrading my pc.....FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUCCCCCKKKK!

how can fallout with swords be a bad thing?

I payed for fallout 3 and i paid for new vegas. This time im gonna let them prove they can make a working game give them anything. Its to much to hope for good graphics and a decent PC port but please, make it a working game....

Yeah I agree. But every time I say Skyrim's graphics are lacking, about 50 nerds come crashing through my windows on flying calculators, yelling about how the graphics only suck because of the scale of the world in Skyrim.

But I thought games these days stream the content to you as you play it, so the size of the world shouldn't matter right? That's how they fit 5,000 square miles in that Fuel game, right?
