man, e3 videos how long after e3? what? i would be surprised if half this stuff looks the same as it does in this video.

This sort of leaked during QuakeCon when people filmed Todd Howard running the demo when they weren't supposed to.

As for the game it looks incredible, can't wait.

For those saying it's old: yes the gameplay footage is old but this is the FULL demo, not a little 9 minute cut-up thing. Also, the full demo was leaked as a shitty quality Quakecon cam with unsynchronized sound towards the end. This is in HD, it's full demo, and it has developer commentary.

I don't know if Peter Noone is excited for this, but it's the same video we've been watching for months now. Remember that leaked footage with the crowd screaming "rape her" and "OMG WATER!!!!1!!!" from a couple months ago? This is the same video, with better quality.

Yes, they are basically the same demos as shown during the various conferences (E3, Gamescom, Quakecon), but there are some new segments and it's good to see it in proper HD quality.

i know they are working with a much bigger world but from from what i just saw it aint got shit on the witchers towns and villages.

Why is the quailty so BAD? I'm getting tearing and jumping all over the place. Anyone else seeing this?

You can tell dude's an expert because he barely even has to look at the axe while he sharpens it.

Fourth or fifth time I've seen this demo, and it's the very same footage as at least three of these times.

Lucky for my this game will get released during my toughest college semester yet.

This game looks really good but the setting is a real killer for me. Not a huge fan of it tbh. I'd like to see a Fallout game with this engine(or ID tech 5).

@Lokar36: You're not the only one.

Of all of Bethesda's open-world jaunts, I remember sinking a lot of time into Oblivion more so than anything else they've done. This game looks like I'll be doing that a lot more of that.

Also, the UI and character sheets are a lot easier on the eyes.

Just watched the entire demo for the third time since it was first shown elsewhere and placed my pre-order at Ozgameshop. Strange how Todd Howard doesn't give much commentary towards the second half of the video, just offering a comment or two every now and then.

I haven't really been paying attention to Skyrim, but this video has my attention. Maybe time to preorder on steam...

I'm actually very excited about this game and tried avoiding all the footage so I can be just as surprised at it as I was oblivion but I couldn't resist watching this. It looks pretty good. Oblivion took about 300 hours for me to finally get bored but at the same time there were parts of the world that I never went to because it seemed kind of just filler. All the shops seemed the same with none really having their own charm. Exploring was fun to find cool land marks and such but at a certain point you realize nothing quite worthwhile comes from it. If my memory serves me, the actual land mass in skyrim is smaller but has more diverse and interesting things to do. All in all it looks like an improvement on a pretty spectacular game!!

I've seen this before.  Also, yes Todd, we know how much you love $$$ the Xbox.

@crusader8463: I'm pretty sure they've come out and said that the PC version won't do much that the console versions don't. You're probably going to have to wait for mods to make it prettier.

Meh. I really don't see the appeal.

Buying this after Uncharted 3.

Man, lots of flickering and weird vsync issues. Guessing that's Giant Bomb's problem.

We had a huge list of things we knew we wanted to do technically with the current generation of hardware and PCs. 

Too bad the current generation of hardware is 6 years old.

Man, this looks amazing. I hope the PC version is optimized and doesn't have swimmy mouse issues and etc.

Gotta say, horse riding looks waaaay better than it did in Oblivion, though that's not really saying much.

Lot of ugly compression on the video.
