@hassun: I don't think he was gone yet. At the very beginning, a little after the one minute mark, the crew look off-set and Brad sounds like he says "Ryan's here."

I need to watch this one again.

@karmaghost: Nah, he says "trying to," but I agree that they hadn't gotten the news yet. This stream wouldn't have happened.

Watching this makes me miss him even more knowing it happened the day this was live.

They couldn't have possibly known about Ryan during this. In fact it may not have even happened at this point.

Oddly though, it could be an accurate look at how GB could be for a while. I know there was no Vinny either, but the lack of Ryan gave no one for Jeff to play off with his jokes. One example is the part where he's joking about Trip Hawkins being the new CEO of EA during the Table Tennis section, and the others are just kinda sat there. And during his "Dumbass Commanding" line! I feel Ryan and Vinny would've kept that going. The rest of the guys may well have been in a "it's the day before holiday" kind of relaxed mood though. I'm probably looking way too much into it. I wouldn't have noticed at all if it wasn't for the recent events...

I was under the impression this was subscriber only content, it will server as a fill in for the bombcast (as i don't know if its going to happen this week)

I feel horrible for pointing this out but it helps me vent. Based on some twitter sleuthing I believe Ryan passed around 1pm on this day, which would put it right before or during the stream. Unbelievably tragic.

No, you're right, you definitely need a combination of Jeff, Ryan, Vinny or Patrick to bounce the dumb shit around. With Patrick in Chicago and Ryan gone it's pretty much up to Vinny and Jeff to keep the dumb times rolling.

Not to say the other duders aren't awesome in their own right, but they're definitely not as willing to roll with the stupid punches as those four.

Last piece of content with Ryan living. :(. It still hasn't fully sunk in for me yet.

There's no way that they knew about Ryan yet, but if this video was created during the early afternoon on the West Coast, then it unfortunately coincided with the time of his passing. Really tragic when you think about it, but I'm glad no one texted Jeff while he was on stream or it would have been really hard to watch live.

The last couple of weeks in my life have been crazily ironic & just plain weird but truly sad in most ways. It's funny seeing you guys getting off on Wolf-3D & Doom games but the links in my brain of Tim Lincecum & ROTT & Taswell! I confess too that I slept through 6/3/13 ---> 6/4/13... This could go on for for pages but then I might have a job? Got rid of those Wolf-engine programming books long ago... LOL
