Looks kick ass if you like Mercs mode.  It's a shame this isn't on consoles though.  Also, kinda sucks that they're using assets from RE5 but aren't including the huge 20+ character roster for some reason.  Maybe they'll be revealed at a later date or something.

While I understand the draw of Mercenaries mode, it never really did it for me, mainly because I never did well at that mode.
 
That other RE game is looking way promising though, and 3DS is lonely and sad that Pokemon Black has been sitting in it for like the past two months.

Why would you guys want to play as Leon? Chris pretty much covers him. Thats also the same reason why I don't think we can play as Ada because Jill covers for her.

To look cool. The fact that they protect his eyes from bright sunlight during the day is just an added benefit.

I never purchased any of the DLC for RE5, so I'm a little more inclined towards Mercs. But still... 40 bucks for what looks to be a game built almost entirely out of recycled assets, that hurts.

There could definitely be unlockable characters in the mist. I'm also fairly optimistic towards an upcoming tag trailer of Chris and Leon - like the most sought after teaming up within the entire series. It would be so fucked up if Leon was actually pegged for DLC... 
 
None of this even matters to me since I don't have a 3DS =/.. this along with Revelations are the shining reasons as to why I'd love one, though.

The problem here is that Resident Evil's strengths are in the narrative and atmosphere. A game based solely on the action is not going to work.
