First time seeing this. After I dropped 80 hours on the PC version.

The wait is finally over.

Watching all the trailers again to get myself pumped up for release. So close now!

Also FYI I'm just telling you what Rockstar said. If GTA5 is truely set in the GTA3 universe then it means Rockstar is going back on what they said about GTA4.

Both Claude and CJ had/have super generic looks though. It's not like spotting Kratos or Master Chief.

There will be three protagonists in this GTA. CJ, Tommy, and a yet to be name Hispanic male (traffic light stopped folding his rooftop)

All GTA games from here on out will be set in modern times, post-Obama. The recession plays a huge part in the story of this chapter, hence the man selling his foreclosed house.(2405 is 24th of May, date almost all if not all the detail about GTA5 will be released) There will be at least one HUGE mission where all three meet and you will jump into different people as the story requires it.

Nico will NOT be in this game, he is happy in Liberty City, bowling with his cousin or whatever else he wants to do.

Yes the game is set in the San Andreas universe, so that means Los Santos, Las Venturas, and Vinewood at the very least. The car camera system has been addressed, and the aiming system has had a major overhaul from GTA4.

Once again do ask how I know this, or who passed this on to me, it is a good source, let's leave it at that.

Say what you will about the games themselves (I love them), but there's no denying that Rockstar knows how to make your mouth water with their trailers. Looks really good!

Saints Row 3 looks so awesome! Can't wait for it to come out!

The L.A. Noire producer started up the company that does that facial capture tech, and that company is still owed 130,000 dollars or something. I doubt Rockstar is going to pursue that technology.

LA is a natural fit for an open sandbox setting. All that smog is perfect for hiding the pathetic draw distance on those struggling consoles trying to run newer software.

i look forward to the Houser brothers social commentary on the 1% if that is indeed where this is all going.  GTA IV had some good deep stuff on what its like to try and change your ways, being a gangster, and the 1 way street that has become the American dream. 

They seem to have got a pretty good cut at what the SoCal valley looks like, coming from someone that has to work in it every day.

As for gameplay and tone and plot and all that, I have to say I was one of those who never really could get into 4... Didn't find it all that well written and certainly didn't care for the characters. I thought in 4 they tried to hit a weird middle ground of satirical and dramatic that didn't quite reach me, so I hope they take a slightly different tack with 5.

What thought was that the song was a cover of "(Keep feeling) Fascination" by the Human League, a song that was on the GTA: Vice City soundtrack, providing more evidence that the protagonist is Tommy Vercetti, but upon further research the song is "Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake" by The Small Faces. I thought that the Human League bore some influence from the song but they are unrelated. So, the theories begin...

Why did they feel the need to put up the "FIVE" subtitle up over the V? Is Rockstar really into redundancy?

I'm surprised they bothered to give it a numeral. It looks to me like one of their "subtitle" entries, and not a "whole-numbered-sequel-worthy" type of game.

It's been so long with so many good games that you forget why Rock Star is such a successful company, cause this looks awesome! I really want to see if they have the L.A. Noire facial animations, although it's not a deal breaker.

I am going to enjoy this for all of the reasons that I enjoyed GTA4, and be frustrated by all of the things that frustrated me about GTA4.

GTA 4, plain and simple ,was not fun. I think this series' time has gone.

This looks promising and I think Rockstar seldom disappoints. I'm legitimately excited about this game.

I'll be honest; I lost my shit at the thumbnail, and I just finished playing GTA:SA for the first time.

Between GTA4 and Red Dead Redemption I'm kind of burned out on the "former bad guy wants to live a better life but gets sucked back in" motif. This sounded like more of that. It just wears thin when the dude is saying "I just want to have a quiet life" as he agrees to yet another murder spree.

Didn't Rockstar say they were done with the GTA3 universe? When asked about the "CJ is dead" thing in GTA4 they said something to the affect of GTA4 is the start of a new continuity and the CJ being dead thing was their way of saying goodbye to all the characters and stories from the previous GTA games.

So much detail! Looks pretty good but I was one of those guys who hated GTAIV, I'm hoping this is different enough to win me over. I loved RDR though.
