The Jedi Consular Storms In The Old Republic

I've said it before and I'll say it again. 
Nobody asked for this, all we wanted was KOTOR 3.

NOLAN!? That's a pretty cool trailer.

I recognize that music. It's the music when you win the Global Starcraft 2 Team League or the GSL Final.

Lightsabers that don't dismember aren't Lightsabers. 

I wish it was Williams composing the soundtrack and not just dudes licensing Two Steps from Hell to do it. Iono. Maybe that was just for the trailer. But man, the more I see of this game, the less excited I am for it.

The more I see and hear about this game the more I worry that it's not going to live up to the hype. Certainly not a day one purchase for me - I'll wait to see if it takes off. Trouble is, if there's too many people like me it'll struggle.

That didn't really look too good. It looked kinda bad actually.

Still sticking to my assassin. I really liked the sniper build back in the Alpha.

I love Star wars, I was even very slightly okay with the prequels, so I'll give this game a shot, but I ain't buying it on release or anything, I'm going to go play a trial when trials become available later on down the line.

The music was awesome, Consular looks alright.  Here's something I am copying and pasting from another forum, directed at people who will inevitably bitch about the release date stuff.
 
"TOR was announced on Oct. 21st, 2008. It's likely shipping in a few months, they've revealed a release window.

Guild Wars 2 was announced on March 27th, 2007. It will likely not ship this year. No release date/window.

Diablo III was announced on June 28, 2008. It will likely not ship this year. No release date/window. (yeah it's a single player game, but it has a lot of similarities to MMOs).

Force push? Nah I'm good, bro.

Man, I really hate how MMO combat has no action to it whatsoever. Troopers just standing there in the open shooting each other until one of them dies, then aiming at the next guy and so on. And the Jedi duals are two guys standing rooted to one spot facing each other trading ridiculous over-animated attacks where they do a crazy backflip - and possibly just miss due to the nature of the game. I mean, that'd be fine if that's what Star Wars combat looked like, but it isn't. The only really static lightsaber duel was Vader vs. Obi-Wan, and they sure as hell weren't doing crazy jumps. 
 
That said, I'm willing to give this game the benefit of the doubt because KOTOR was kind of the exact same way.

I'd roll a Jedi Consular, if it wasn't for that dumb skill pulling a porta potty out of the ground ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE!
 
I'd make it tons of little rocks and dust being compacted by the force into a pointy rockcone that's being hurled at the enemy. All Mortal Kombat like.
 
Fucking hate that skill sooo much. Almost ruins SW:TOR for me. Not really... but I hate it a lot. It's just a 'leaving a bad taste in my mouth' type of animation. I expect better than that.
 
Guess it's got to be Sith Lightning Bub then. Or I'll just roll the melee jedi class. Other than that - SW:TOR's looking better with every consecutive trailer.

Wait, didn't he just take out the first dude with a lightsabre, then deflect some blaster bolts with it as well?

Thats some MMO-ass animation quality.

I like how that last shot suggests that it's really not that big of a deal when a Jedi leaves a Sith to die on a pile of molten rock.

Storms?  Storms in the Old Republic?  This isn't fucking Joystiq, what the hell?
