This guy is trying to make me go to sleeeeep...

Hmm. Trailer makes it look interesting, but the combat and character designs still don't do anything for me. I will wait for a Steam sale next year to pick this up.

Not much time left. We'll see how this turns out... A question though... "Critically acclaimed" means a game with a score of over 80%? Interesting...

Atari is still around? lol.

I just started playing The Witcher, but I find it a little odd and hard to stick with. At the same time it's intriguing. Hopefully I can find the time to enjoy and finish it.

@shadowwolf9: It picks up after Ch1.

Apparently people sleep in the clothes they're going to wear the next day in this world.

AW SHIET. I was going to wait until BF3 to buy a new GPU, but this presents... complications.

Posted by xxNBxx

Not sure if I should buy it as soon as it comes out or wait to see if it has bugs like the first did.

It has an average score of 86. That is definitely critically acclaimed.

Not it doesn't. That 86% is for the "enchanced edition" which has fewer reviews and whatnot... Anyways most games are "critically acclaimed" then.

bring it on witcher.....me wanna play this!

Oh god. This guy is giving me Eternal Sonata flashbacks.

@Hef: It was dirty back in the day and i think this game is trying to do that but add a touch of fantasy to it.

Aslong as I can go and get drunk with crazy people like Zoltan and Dandelion, I'm in.

In our game, the cooks cook, and the fishers fish.

BOOM DROP A BOMB ON IT!!

If I was capable of having a boner I would have one right now.

Great Fable 4!

HOT PANTS?! Dude you are wearing hotpants.
Posted by Aslan186

Is it just me or does there seem to be a strong anti-pants contingent in WItcher 2

The npcs reacted kind of the same way in the first one, seams to be more fleshed out in this one. I like how in both games when it rains npcs run for shelter, I don't know why. Maybe it's because it makes more sense then them standing there acting all static while it downpours on their heads.

Bethesda should take notice.

Talk about making an issue out of completely nothing! If a game received a handful of glowing reviews, it can be considered critically acclaimed.

People using average numbers derived from arbitrary point scores in order to decide a game's quality? Now that is interesting :D

Amazing!

I can´t believe how a small budget studio for Poland is outclassing a behemoth like Bioware ?

Can't wait for this.

Man its so close i can't wait!

Great atmosphere and music.  But what is up with half the male villagers walking around with diapers instead of pants?  Is CDProjekt messing with us?  Is that some kind of Nordic in-joke?

It's hilarious to me that the thing that has me most on the edge of my seat prior to the witcher 2's release. Is whether or not Geralt can wear hats, because I hate his stupid hair. I saw a hood in this video so things are looking promising I might be able to finish this game unlike the hatless catastrophe that was its successor.

Reminds me of what i imagine Fable would look like if it were more grounded.

I just couldn't get into the first Witcher. Hopefully this is better

Watching people doing repetitive task all day is exciting.

Radiant AI eat your heart out.

Can't wait for this game !!!!

The only thing I could think about is if they used speed tree.

But can I screw with the living world and turn the main character into a sociopath? Can I break into buildings and set fires at night?

I love the little touches like seeing the butcher take a break. Reminds me of playing GTA4 and seeing some Burger-Shot employees taking a smoke break. Of course, my reaction to this was to hurl a Molotov-Cocktail at them while yelling "SMOKING IS BAD FOR YOU!"

I want developers to give me a rich, living world so I can break it.

They're not small budget. 300 people are working on this game and they own GOG.com

@BD: It was used in the first game so it's highly likely!

7 more days.... i can't handle it.

"Every single npc lives its own life." Laying it on thick, I see. It does look like they put quite some work into detail, giving them three instead of one repetitious cycle, with some breaks in those three, to make it feel like six. The game looks great either way. No need to Molyneux it up.

so what would happen if you killed one of them????

would that shut down the village?

Posted by AURON570

I am disappointed, where is the young teenage boy who wanders around town and harasses the local women? ;)

@EpicReflex:  I was just about to say the same thing.  Those Eastern Europeans really know how to create atmosphere

@HS21: Mm sorry I was still counting The Witcher 1 CD Red numbers.. No idea they've grow this much, Cool!

Yet have to say, Bioware is around 800 employees! Among 2 major studios and it's owned by EA. It is worth mentioning Ray Muzika is part of the board of directors at EA.  Founding, Workforce, Marketing and Distribution reach is well far from CD red's one..
