It's not like people like you are helping things any. Why are you defending the developers and the game instead of the community that made the game what it is today? I mean, what side are you on exactly? Why exactly would you not want all these new features brought to the PC version?

Your stance makes little sense, if you're a part of the community, rather than one of the developers. And if you ARE one of the developers, then I would advise you to not be making statements like that.

Ehh not really interested in a game like this on a console. Just by the nature of a controller building has to be much less efficient and probably frustrating for anyone that played the PC version. Now if they release this content or similar content on PC I'd gladly check it out, heck if it was enough content label it as an expansion and charge money for it or just charge average DLC price for it. I don't feel entitled to shit, but not giving the PC gamers the option of these additions as either a free upgrade or paid DLC or whatever is not cool.

Great. Now port this new version to PC and offer the customer loyalty discount, for those who have already bought the original, like a number of Steam games do. The original version is lacking in many ways that seem to be fixed in this new version. 
 
That is, unless the console version is a straight port of the PC version with just some new content. In that case, offer it up as paid DLC since it could be patched into the existing PC version.

@Krystal_Sackful: Same artist, different dev team. It looks wayyyyyy more involved than Terraria though, which is good.

still waiting for terraria's capture the flag update that was promised very long ago, with none of this new stuff being planned for the pc version, I think its safe to say my heart is broken.

I'm not sure what you're talking about with The Binding of Isaac. There's going to be a reworked version of the game coming out, with a new art style and content and various other tweaks. Consoles are going to get it, PC is going to get it. People who already own the PC version will even get a discount on the new one. I'm not seeing where one could take offense to this. It's a new game.

i'm so complaining about the lack of new pc content on Yelp.

I might get this version, but it's more likely i get it for 2 bucks during a Steam sale.

I don't think anyone is saying that people deserve it for free, BUT, the console folks are paying the same amount and getting more. Not making that available even for a fee to PC players is kind of shitty, like it or not. Even if you don't care and are happy with what you got, it's still a bit lame that they just unceremoniously dropped the ball on the PC version. It's not the end of the world and yeah, totally true that the original game was a fine value before. But, it sucks that they are going to consoles to make more money, and ignoring the market that got them enough capital to move up in the world.

I don't care, because I never cared for the game, but saying it's not kinda shitty is a bit unfair. No, you shouldn't be a whiny little brat. But it's ok to be upset that someone else is getting something better for the same cost as what you paid. Some people will end up buying the game twice to have that extra content, and it should just be a $5 piece of DLC on PC or something.

It's a crummy situation, and I think both sides are over-reacting a bit. The people who are upset about missing content shouldn't be so upset, and people like you shouldn't be so snide about people missing out. It's sort of like the 3DS price drop thing. Shortly after release, they drop the price significantly, and then just give people fuckin GBA games to make up for it. That's pretty crummy, and it's because they over-estimated the demand for the product. Or in other words, 'being greedy.'

That trailer was pretty rad. I'll probably end up buying this on console if the controls aren't atrocious. I've put over 250 hours into the PC version and I'm quite excited that the Xbox and PS3 crowds will now have a chance to try Terraria as well. The more, the merrier, I say!
