Must be a slow news day

Wow, Saviour in Simlish. Good ass song. Bad editing on the lyrics, totally distorted english.

Robits!

You know, at first I was laughing my ass off at the cheesey music but by the end of the trailer I was genuinely excited. Well done whoever EA payed to make this.

Posted by HatKing

Misleading trailer tease on the main page... The Sims get ambitious... made me think that they'd dare try doing something new with this series.  Silly me.
Posted by Some1StoleMyTortilla

are you telling me The Sims is going to have missions, and plot!?!?!?!?!!?!

Posted by MysteriousBob

EA has forced the series to jump the shark... how many times now? Just keep it domestic, all this stuff is absurd. I hate this trendy style, I preferred the latin music and simple blue menus of the first game.

Don't get me wrong though, I still love The Sims 3, I just don't like where EA continue to steer the whole series.

I could probably get this one, offers what I lacked with the job careers so... Yeah sure why not?
Fun trailer as well.. Nice touch with Rise Against in sim language.

Posted by Death_Burnout

Nice! i really liked the ambition, no pun intended, of World Adventures. I can see this being similarly more RPG-afied

Posted by Ryax

is that rise against singing in sim language?

Posted by PK_Koopa

So...you can be a ghostbuster now?
That could be interesting.

Posted by SPACETURTLE

What? Ghostbusters? Might actually be worth checking this one out.

Posted by Evilsbane

Ok I have to admit, for a Sims expansion trailer that was pretty kickass.

Be a ghostbuster? What the hell?

Posted by S0ndor

Funny, the Sims franchise has lacked ambition since shortly after the first game.

Posted by myslead

ok. this look actually interesting.

That's definitely what it sounded like....

@Kyle: thats kinda funny

I think people are too harsh on The Sims. Sure, Ikea furniture packs are retarded, but the base games (Sims, Sims 2, Sims 3) are fantastic, and the first couple of expansions are usually decent. It's not til later when the awful shovelware packs come.

Posted by elko84

That's right you can be a "ghosthunter"!

Posted by ArchV1le

lol at the Rise Against in Simlish

Posted by Meteora

Oh dude Rise Against in Simlish, yes.

Posted by Brunchies

I should make one of my sims be a ghostbuster

Posted by Gregomasta

I like rise against in simlish.

Posted by Rewcastle

tbh, until i read that song was actually in simlish, i had no idea
Posted by Krakn3Dfx

Ice sculptor's get all the chicks.

Posted by FlipperDesert

The expansion looks interesting, but I'd rather buy a bunch of songs in Simlish.

Fighting fires and detective work, fine, but hunting ghosts and time travel? What the fuck?

Edited by fallen_elite

It was only these comments that made me go back and listen again, Because I totally did not pick that up, freaked me the fuck out that I didn't pick it up.

This is exactly what I thought too and why I ended up here.

@Rewcastle:  @Red12b: I as well totally missed it not being in English, I was singing along with it in my head and I guess my brain kinda overrode it. Amusing version though :)
Posted by fox01313

Hrm would be funny if the mad scientist type could go back in time into other games.

It really fucked me up man, POWER OF THE BRAIN, WILL OVERRIDE WHAT YOU HEAR!
Posted by Terrents

lol that song was amazing i dont know whats wrong with you guys XD it would ruin it though if they start putting more of this in the games as music...

or would it bet the best thing to happen to the sims ever!?

eh im over the sims. the only thing that intrested me in this was the fact that it looks like they have decent hair cuts this time around
Posted by GoodKn1ght

must admit, ghost bustering sim in the middle was cool

Posted by natural_deadhead

Maybe the only expansion I would buy.

Posted by Khemitude

Wait that song was in simlish? wow I didn't even notice till someone else said XD.

Being a well aware Sims player; one of the biggest demands from the fans is going to actual work  or something. If this was a revamp of the career system and that you actually control your Sims, this would be arguably the most ambitious and biggest expansion pack (doesn't have to necessarily be measured by content; rather how they change gameplay mechanics in Sims 3 and other expansions that come forth).

Posted by dagas

Not played The Sims since The Sims 2 came out (never played any expansions to that since I was not interested in more sims) however this almost makes me want to try out Sims 3.

This. Shit like the detective job or the fashionista could actually make this game more interesting. I'm sure they are going this way - look how much more of a game is Sims 3 compared to the previous two.

i have to go to my real job now

Posted by PhannIOUS

I bet 80% of all players are women. The rest are men wusses who want some power over digital beings.

Posted by Sharpshooter

is it just me or is the backing music on that trailer in Simlish?

The recently released expansion only broke The Sims 3 when I installed it.
