The Story of Dead Space So Far...

I hope this flash back of events will be available when the game is released. it would be awesome to have a look back to catch up to what you have done so far when ever you boot up the game. sure it may just be a few lines of text..  but the contextual results are epic! BRING ON DeadSpace2!

Hmm... If they actually managed to put in some genuine frights in there, I'll probably love it. The first was solid and I enjoyed it as a game, but much of the horror was lost to me; everything was too predictable save for three moments at most.

 I didn't care for the story in Dead Space, and the reason for that was because of the lack of subtitles. No subtitles equates to me not giving a crap about the story.

So, clearly Dead Space 2 takes place in Isaac's head, and he is seeing all the people as necromorphs.

This game should be right up my alley, but as soon as someone starts talking about it I blank out and get extremely bored. I haven't ever been able to play more than 15 minutes of the game, so boring to me.

Why did this video somehow make me less excited for Dead Space 2? I loved the first game, but I guess I just liked the mystery of it all, the less story the better, in this case.

I watched my flatmate play the 1st game and it scared the ever living shit out of me. Mind you, during his achievement mining phase, involving playing it 5 times, the scare wore off pretty quick...oh look monster..get that guy...tea?

I never understood why they built the stupid marker in the first place. It's like some big MacGuffin monster came along and pooped it out.

If he's already insane at the start of the game, he's probably not going to be feeling much better by the end.

Love these trailers that fill in the gaps. After finishing the first game I so want to play the second :D

Dead Space instantly became one of my all time favs. Having played the DS2 demo any doubts I had have been laid to rest. I was a little worried it might lose it's horror roots but thankfully it has not. It definitely throws more enemies at you but it's just as frightening as the first game. The sound design is just briliant! This is the reason I bought a 5.1 surround system (literally for the first one)!
 
Cannot wait for January 25th.

Forgot the Marker was man-made. Glad they created a ton of conspiratorial backstory for the Dead Space franchise, and DS2 is looking quite slick.

nice to see a video like this summing up the bits of the story so far - much better than a CGI trailer or more of that multiplayer gameplay junk

im really happy that they are going to include the fact the Isaac is crazy after his experience in the first game

No really, if you didn't like it the first time through, then chances are you won't like it the second time through or its sequel. Did you beat it?

Also, having a video like this actually makes the plot seem kind of stupid.

did I see a "2010" in there? maybe it's just referring to the trailer date...Since Dead Space 2 is being released Jan 25, 2011
