The Walking Dead's Next Episode Is Imminent

About damn time.

Byline may be potentially a spoiler because in The Walking Dead universe there are cannibals.

Not saying that cannibals are in this game/episode, just that they exist, I know Patrick is referring to zombies though.

I don't know what it is, I'm gettin' kinda sick of Walking Dead. I adored the first season, that was my GOTY 2012, but this just feels tired now. The first episode used a lot of the same tricks I know all too well at this point. Somehow, The Wolf Among Us feels far, far more fresh and inventive.

Clem turning into a scowling, jaded badass has been pretty interesting so far, I hope the character development for her continues.

It's weird how as more and more people want to binge watch their TV shows, Telltale still tries to follow the old network TV model of releasing one episode at a time. I get that they finish an episode and then start on the next one, but I also wonder if that's why Telltale games are so notoriously buggy. Even though I've really liked what I have played of TWD & The Wolf Among Us thus far, I feel the better way to play Telltale games is to wait until the entire season is out, pick it up and play it at your own pace. It would be nice if you didn't have to risk having the plot spoiled for you to binge play them, though.

Probably because the first episode of this new season was incredibly disappointing in retrospect. All of the choices were basically mindless ("Hey will you try to save your only companion or completely abandon them?" "Hey will you burn this block of wood or these cherished pictures of loved ones?"), and some of the "pivotal" choices weren't even left up to you; why on Earth was I suddenly not allowed to stop Clem from invading the home of (and stealing from) people who had offered to help me?? Just in general it felt a little predictable and ham-fisted; I wanted them to pull something new out of their box of tricks, like with The Wolf Among Us. With this it just feels like retreading old ground.

I hate to be cynical, but i'm just disappointed with the soap-opera direction this is going. Even this trailer; "Hey look, a new mysterious character, I wonder wh-- oh they just said it's Carver. Well I wonder what he wan-- oh he wants the baby. Well I wonder what they'll do abo-- oh they're leaving the camp. Huh."

If they make another Walking Dead season I'm going to opt and wait to get it at the end of the season. This waiting game sucks... and with all the other stuff they are working on... I would just rather have it out of my mind till the end.

Yeah, Clementine is really the driving force for me. Without her, I'm not sure I would really care.

I liked the first episode for setting things up, but damn it if it wasn't over dramatic. I hope they can have more well tempered problems and wide spread tensions, not these black-and-white oh fuck moments constantly.

Good. Clementine is going to drop the hammer on Rebecca. "Who's baby is it?" is going to pay off.

I feel like clementine is showing a different character that was in no way apparent in the original. Almost to the point that she's not the same person. I hope that they can develop the other characters a bit more in this. Sure they introduced their basic personalities and motivations, but I hope to see some more of them to keep it interesting.
