They better have a "In the last season of The Walking Dead" recapitulation because I do not remember shit about what decisions I made.

The only choices I could tell that amounted to ANYTHING what so ever where when you had to chose if someone died or not. You could shit all over who ever you wanted for 5 episodes and in the end it didnt play out any different when the key moments happened.

I didn't side with Kenny every single time Duck was in danger, and when it came time to rescue Clementine, he bailed on me. Fuck that guy. So yeah, they do remember.

For what seems like a relatively non-taxing game, it ran like shit and loaded like ass. I hope they work on the tech side for this one.

Also, get some motion capture. Some of the animations are robotic. Scratch that, all the animations are robotic.

Well, I'm going to wait for the retail version to come out to stores, just like I did for the 1st season. But at the same time, I am so happy that there's going to be a season 2. The Walking Dead Season 1 was the best adventure game I've played in years, and that's why I'm really looking forward to this.

Also I didn't realize we were going to be playing Clementine this time. That's unexpected, but pleasantly at the same time. Hopefully, Telltale knows what they're doing in having her as the lead this time.

Games that bolt a daughter-figure onto you are in the same league as harem anime.

Is our internet generation that spoiled to where we have to play an episodic game all at once because we can't wait? Jeez.

To be fair 'The Wolf Among Us' has almost or has been out for 2months and episode 2 isn't due to arrive until 'After The Holidays' so a 3 month wait is likely + it just went on sale (1 episode in) so those who waited a month saved a nice chunk of change for joining in the same part of the dev cycle as those who opted in day 1.

I'm going to buy it at launch but Telltale aren't renowned for frequent episodic games to the point where people would forget a lot of the prior episode before moving onto the next one.

I'd been nice to see one with such costs added for the branching as long as they tell a good tale for each.

I'm gonna wait for all of them to be out, then play them all in one shot, and THEN be emotionally distraught.

My body and emotional well-being is ready.

I loved the gap between each episode, I'm totally on board with it. Plus remember that The Wolf Among Us will be coming out between each other month. Can't wait. As for visuals, look at The Wolf Among Us for how far Telltale have come with their visuals.

Same here.

I liked season one just fine, but I question if Telltale will be able to make lightning strike twice. Of course, I also think TWD is sort of overrated and I'm so tired of the "MAN IS THE REAL MONSTER" stuff that permeates every single zombie-related thing ever. I'm actually far more interested in The Wolf Among us as a result.

Our reasons aren't quite a match, though there is overlap. The result is solidly the same.

@hulkamaniac: Jake Rodkin and Sean Vanaman left Telltale to form their own studio, so pretty sure they had little to do with season 2. Vanaman wrote episodes 1,3 and 5 if I'm not mistaken, so him not returning has me a bit nervous. Not sure if Whitta is helping out again this time, though considering its almost out and I haven't heard anything, probably not?

Preeeetty sure there was a flash of Ben (or, well, a zombie in Ben's jacket) in there.

I doubt it; unless you drop him in Episode 4 (which most players didn't do), Ben gets shot in the head when he goes out.

Awww, that makes sense. Guess I was just one of the more dickish players then, giving Ben the axe like that.

RUN RUN RUN Clementine! That vile minded sick internet F**k got exactly what he deserved. Just run!

I know I am projecting. What that guy says in the beginning does has base truth at least.

I cannot play this game, lol.

It'll be interesting playing as Clementine and seeing what type of choices she'll be presented with from dialogue with others to actions taken.

Looks like the first episode is gonna be clementine wandering around, meeting up with different people. Maybe at the end of the first episode she meets up with 400 days characters?

The overrated series returns.

I do like The Walking Dead. I enjoyed it. But I played it when episode 5 had just come out and I already read how everyone thought it was the best stuff ever. I liked it, but going in expecting that much, I can't help but think it was severely overrated. That game had so many problems. Whenever a game makes me want to stop playing but I'll pick it up and play it anyway later on the day; that's pretty impressive. But at the same time, making me want to stop playing it in the first place really isn't good.

I have my expectations set accordingly this time though. It will be a very interesting season, and it will offer some crazy choices while it will most likely fail to deliver on the premise in some cases.

Don't believe the hype, just, don't. At this point whenever I see a game fellated this thoroughly by every reviewer and forum poster, I'm already suspicious. The Internet is easily impressed, I accepted that and adjust my expectations accordingly. More genuine surprises and less disappointments this way.

I was really hoping that they'd dispense with Clem altogether and start afresh with new characters. Lee & Clem's story was just right - I'd rather leave what happened next to my imagination.

Also, for me a big part of season one was the constant nagging doubt as to whether Clem would die because of my choices. It properly stressed me the fuck out through every single episode - making her the protagonist under the player's control is going to eliminate that feeling until the last 5 minutes of the last episode.

Not true. Characters would refer to choices you made earlier if they think it reflected poorly on Lee's judgment. And your overall standing with the various characters affect which of them are willing to help you go look for Clem at the start of episode 5.

Did it dramatically change the plot? No, because the game isn't some wildly branching Choose Your Own Adventure novel, and would cost much more if they had to make a bunch of different paths.

I'm not sure why people are so excited now that we know Clem is the invulnerable honey pot for Telltale. We've sort of established that she can't die now seeing as how they felt the need to drag her along for a second season, and the over-investment in a single invincible character isn't even remotely appealing to me in this universe.

I don't understand this argument. There are 62 episodes of Breaking Bad. Every time Walter White is in danger of dying you know he's going to get through it, because there are more episodes to come, so you're saying don't bother watching it?

Just because she probably won't die, doesn't mean bad stuff will never happen to her. Because in the world of The Walking Dead, being alive is often a fate worse than death.

I feel that playing as Clementine will be one of slow maturity. We witnessed it from afar with Lee, and now we will see the full transition. I never put too much stock in who I am playing in these games because the overall cast of characters is what matters to me ultimately. I'm more worries that they won't have enough life in them to make me care.
