I am starting to get a real craving for this game now. Not because of this trailern but what I've seen from the Quick Look and when I saw the 360 demo with the falling church tower. Insane. It just looks totally insane, and I love it.

Bayonetta looks good, at first I thought it was going to be a total failure considering it was first pitched to me as "Devil May Cry fighting with a chick with gun feet" I'm glad she just had guns ON her feet.. all I could think was grindhouse failure. 
 
I gotta say though, Bayonetta looks way better than devil may cry, and I think I'm actually going to get this game!
 
Also, I can't wait for the movie staring Sarah Palin, It'l work since they had her be the main character of the game as well. Not that I mind!

Dude please, God of War 3 features an epic story which rewards Greco-Roman and Ancient Greek historical knowledge, features an epic story, epic graphics, epic everything. You're honestly trying to compare it some weirdo Japanese game featuring a librarian who strips down when she attacks? Really?

Its a game i'll probably be just a tad embarresed to admit playing, of course that means i'm still gonna play it...and hopefully enjoy it, just with the doors locked and the curtains closed.

I'm sure the story will suck however.  The Japanese have the bad tendency to reveal 90% of their game's plot in the game's trailer, so many of us already know what happens.

You guys need to get off your high horse. The game looks like a lot of fun to play. 
 
dmc4 was kind of lame because of the forced character switch half way through and NG will never have a competent camera.

You've got to be kidding me. God of War's so called "epic story" can be summed up as "Kratos gets betrayed and decides to kill everything". Bayonetta might not have a great story, but it has superior graphics(perhaps not technically, but the art style is so much better it's not even funny), superior music and far superior combat. 
 
Don't get me wrong, God of War III is doubtlessly going to be an excellent action game. But when compared to Bayonetta the action feels stiff, repetitive and restricted.

@Icemael: I agree that in these games action is what's most important and God of War's combat has always seemed a bit simplistic to me. I enjoyed Ninja Gaiden, despite all its problems, in large part due to great weapon variety which Bayonetta seems to have plenty of, while I fear God of War may not.

I don't know if you guys have noticed.... but Japanese developers specialize in pandering. Backlashing so hard against it is kind of like complaining about the DMV.
 
It really just comes down to whether you enjoy this genre or not. Because Japan will continue to churn out weird shit no matter how outraged any of you get.

Anyone remember "Heavy Metal F.A.K.K 2"? When I see a game featuring a "cool sexy female", I think back to these great oldie. Bayonetta seems to be the same sort of game, so let's cut it some slack.

Though I think its still awesome that Japan is bringing out crazy stuff like this, or else it would just be shooters or post apoclyptic games all day. I agree with you that it looks super fun to play and the people complaining about this game are just trying to be pretentious gamers.
