Yo! Developer here.

As many have surmised, we're using a very limited subset of commands to drastically increase voice recognition accuracy. You may also enter in your own custom commands as alternates (for instance, replacing "fire" with "light 'em up"), if desired. It does not use natural language technology, however.

And trust me. There are no pepper grinders here.

I was just about to post something suggesting everything you just explained. Anyway, colour me interested, I'm a huge fan of voice commands (even if everyone so readily shits on them, like Kinect). I really think if done well they can be significantly faster than normal input and allow you to do really cool things (whilst feeling futuristic too). Best of luck with development!

So that's why Vinny was having such trouble with Bot Colony. All he had to do was tell the game to "show some common sense."

@iridiumstudios: looks really cool guys, looking forward to trying it out. You mentioned that you can re-name some commands,hoping this applies to units as well ?
