I loved the first Crysis on PC, and it's pretty good on the consoles as well (360 for me). I was disappointed in two, but over time (many hours of campaign time), while I still find it disappointing, I have a little more respect over it, and it's a little bit funner than it originally was. I am pretty excited for Crysis 3, and I have faith in this one. I just hope to see less technical flaws on the console versions, better voice acting, and smarter A.I.

Games aside, I'm glad a developer stepped in to fill the "engine showcase" void left when ZeniMax purchased id. We need someone making explosions look that good.

This looks like Crysis multiplayer done right. I commend you Crytex. Also... Pretty =)

i actually really liked the original crysis multiplayer, though i hadn't experienced battlefield yet when i first tried it. still liked the look and the maps, and it kinda had an RTS/base management kinda feel to it.

Sorry, i don't see what was incredible in that trailer at all, looked quite underwhelming to be honest.

It looks pretty good, but it looks way too staged to represent what the real experience will probably feel like. You'll need to have over a dozen friends online at the same time, with great communication and assigned roles that they don't deviate from. I don't have that many friends online who would be willing to do all that, so my experience would be me playing alone with some strangers online. The potential looks great though.

Cool trailer and all, and the concept is neato. But I need to see more of the nuts and bolts of how this mode is actually set up to be sold on it. From the looks of it, if you're killed as a normal dude, then you respawn as a Hunter? that makes for some pretty borked balancing issues.

Why do the hunters have the cell logo on their suits if their killing cell troopers?

Reminds me of a sourcemod called "The Hidden". You'd have one cloaked guy with a knife and some bombs go up against a team of shooty guys.

This looks less interesting, to be honest.

I hope that isn't how it works, although the trailer does suggest that. The hunters, as units, are really overpowered, hence why it's 14 verses 2, but if the troopers become hunters after death then the odds are almost insurmountable to win as a trooper.

Someone correct me, as my Crysis 2 lore is not particularly up-to-snuff, but I believe that Cell created the Nanosuits, then went all evil, and the Nanosuit troopers turned on them. At least, I think that's why you were fighting Cell in Crysis 2.

Well then if they actually allowed PC mods they could change the models to make it look like Predator/s.

Also, this game mode looks AWESOME. Reminds me of the old Splinter Cell stuff. Pretty as hell also.

I played that mod. It was creative but awful to play. Almost like this vanilla HL mod that added a ton of these acrobatic moves like shooting while doing cartwheels or rolling which sounds neat but when you're doing a cartwheel in first person you have no idea what the fuck is going on so it was almost unplayable

It was pretty fun with a bunch of friends. Not pigsticking as the hidden also made the game a lot more enjoyable for both sides.

It does. The density of physics trees and grass along with expansive areas completely blow it away. Also, the gameplay is better.
