Honestly, the amount of live-action & CGI trailers they've been releasing for this has me just a tad cautious. I know that there is footage of the game's gameplay out there, but when I'm forced to consistently associate Darksiders II as some CGI movie, it makes me question their own confidence.

I liked the first game and all, but everything about Darksiders II is just...corny. Death looks stupid.

This is one trend in gaming I can't really get behind - live action trailers, especially with no gameplay.

Wasn't the whole deal of Darksiders 1 is that War comes back a century after all humans have died out?

A lot of peeps raging on Death's design, I'm digging it. Heminds me a lot of Raziel from the LOK series, and with more RPG elements in DSII, means a day one purchase for me.

Death Design is just too, I dont know, too rock and rock? I always imagined death would look like the death in Dante's inferno. all spindly and quick. Here , he just screams 90s comics. (yes I know who designed it). Just saying, Casey Jones mask,and long rocker hair aint doing it for me.

That chandelier had light bulbs while the walls had candles. :|

I really like it. It's a less conventional take on the personification of Death. I'd totally love if his personality matched his rock and roll star looks.

@MindChamber: Would you want that style of Death to be a playable character, though?

They are trying to appeal to those who never played Darksiders. Given how little the original was marketed, this is an improvement.

How are there live people in this trailer if in the first Darksiders when War goes back to earth to set everything right, Mark Hamill's character tells you its been something like a thousand years since the last of the humans were alive. I guess what I am saying is is this supposed to be a prequel?

My buddy just pointed out to me that you can totally see the fake candle lightbulbs in the chandelier when it falls.

Yeah, they did this with Prototype 2 and see how that turned out.

Basically, alarm bells should be ringing if gameplay walkthroughs aren't shown a month before release.

So eager to play this. It's one of my most anticipated titles of the year.

I'm liking Davos' scenes so far and I'd wish he spend less time describing food and more time in plot development
