I agree, as much I absolutely love my Gears, I really can't get hyped for this game at all.

Because that's what Gears multiplayer needs. More grenades. looks like it will probably be fun, I'm going to stick with the trilogy though.

Looks like more Gears of War, but that could be a good thing. I think I'll wait to see what the reviews says, and then wait for the first price drop.

So did they leave out Execution and standard KOTH? Because those are sort of the signature game modes of Gears 3. I'm just going to assume they didn't mention Execution because its a given.

It's weird. I like Gears and I own all the previous ones but I really couldn't give a shit about this one. I blame it on Baird, because fuck Baird.

I was actually thinking it looks like a pretty significant departure from the previous Gears games, and that it could be good or bad.

Weapons, speed/pacing, and game types all look pretty different.

Gears multiplayer always finds a way to disappoint me.

Yeah, the only people here crying monotony are the ones who probably haven't played any or all of the games. I was worried at first about some of the changes being brought in but after watching this I feel pretty good about playing something a whole lot more robust and different. The classes look cool and the unlocks are a lot better than they were in Gears 3.

The fourth wall breaking here is driving me INSANE.

If we start demanding that commenters actually have a good frame of reference for what they're talking about, the entire internet would become a ghost town

This game may end up selling well but if pre-orders mean anything the one big exclusive for the Xbox 360 in 2013 may be in trouble.

The number of people in these comments leaving "Gears" uncapitalized is weirding me out. Like it's some sort of social construct now, or something.

Aghhh! It seems everyone else is bored with the series and isn't looking forward to it, but I think a lot of the changes (minus the loss of horde/beast) are really, really good. The smaller focus on shotguns, and a more idiot-friendly sawn off are probably really good additions seeing as Gears 3 is almost completely impenetrable to new players at this point. I 'd love to get into the MP side of a series I completely adore... I have felt locked out of that stuff for two games due to the really high skill level required.

I bought a 360 because of Gears of War but man, I just can't get interested in this. I don't think it helps that I haven't felt the need to buy a console game since SSX last year...

Saying that, it does look pretty for a 360 game.

Sure looks like Gears, I didn't really play much multiplayer except for some horde mode in Gears 3 and the singleplayer of this game hasn't intrigued me either so far.

I thought Gears 1 was okay then the second one came out and it was better in every way except for the matchmaking and lag switch exploits, other than that it was so much fun that it was one of my most played games.

Gears 3 came out and absolutely killed the franchise for me, the multiplayer was crap, the story was bad, the campaign was badly laid out. That was another game where they went along with the trend of continuing a story from the end of a crappy book someone wrote, the same stuff Halo does, and they decided to get the writer of said book to do the story. I hate that they introduced female Gears like it was a thing that was always there in the universe even though there was no mention of it whatsoever in previous games.

Gears 3 screwed up and I'm never buying another game from the series.
