This Latest Deadpool Trailer Is Just Exhausting

Okay, guys. I'm just going to clear this up.

Nolan North's Deadpool in THIS game is spoken a slightly lower tone of voice than his Deadpool in MvC3. Don't tell us "they got a different voice actor from mvc3" when they are the same, it isn't that hard to recognize. I mean, one of the boxes even sounds exactly like the MvC3 Deadpool for crying out loud.

Plus, yeah this game was going to be overt and stupid. I'm not really sure what sort of high class you expect from Deadpool. Maybe it'll be a trainwreck like DNF, maybe it'll be really stupid fun like Saints Row. Either way, we'll just have to see and find out.

I'm no Deadpool expert or anything, but...this wasn't that bad. Sure, the "I <3 DP" sign was a bit much, but everything else seemed Deadpool-ish. Right?

I'm not gonna write it off just yet.

I am re-reading deadpool. This is exactly how he is in the comics except for his whiny serious moments with cable. Not sure who they think deadpool is... He's a trite, bombastic character, but it's funny in the context of the zealotry of most marvel heroes.

Do people really find this funny? The humor feels like its for kids but with the amount of blood they were showing i doubt they would get a T rating.

I didn't know there was Deadpool game coming. And yeah I don't like the voice they chose. I never thought of Deadpool having a raspy voice.

Eh, it's a trailer, trailers don't represent actual games. ;) I wouldn't be surprised at all if the actual game was far less obnoxious & goofy. (or not) I'm just happy to see Nate & Wade together. :3

@dirkdeadeye: well, to be fair, the X Men Legends and Ultimate Alliance games are pretty good,but yes there are ALOT of stinkers out there in the comics genre.

I dunno looks like High Moon is having a tonne of fun making this to me. They earned my absolute respect with how they treated the TF license so I'm hoping this game is awesome as well.

I have zero affinity for Dead Pool but I thought the trailer was alright. I'm expecting something along the lines of that Wolverine game, dumb fun.

With as many times as he said "Bang" in that trailer. Playing the game would be like playing MvC3 with a team of 3 of him and just spamming one move over and over again for 4 hours.

I wouldn't get too upset, it's just the trailer I'm sure the game itself will be better than whatever the PR department have decided to do to try and sell it... so chill people

Authenticity Cry Babies cool your heels, Marvel never sticks to its guns with its "Comic History". So with that being said, The F****** trailer looks fine and the game play "looks" awesome.

Exactly. I don't think the trailer's half bad. Annoying and nuts enough, pretty good visuals (except for that banana..). I'm just worried the gameplay is not going to be any interesting, as well as that there will be way too many random-ass remarks on repeat throughout the game. Deadpool is not really a character that is fit for a game. I think a movie suits him better.

As a guy who has read far to many Dead Pool comics I couldn't have said it better myself.

It's almost as if everyone expects a developer to cater to just that one person.

So, on the one hand we have gamers upset that their passion isn't taken seriously by those outside of the culture, or that video games are blamed for violent and puerile behavior by the media, or that people like Roger Ebert say they'll never be art and are a waste of time. On the other hand, we have this trailer which has a tittering woman with bouncing breasts holding up a placard that says "I love DP." Something's gotta give, folks.

While I have no plan to buy this game, and can't really say exactly what the game is other than maybe a third person game, I thought the trailer was funny, though I can see why some would find it annoying. I also don't want to hear more Nolan North unless it's Nathan Drake. No disrespect to him, but it's just too much.

I barely know about Deadpool, but I already can tell "Yeah, this is pretty much his MO." What did you guys expect?

Daniel Way is and always has been a terrible Deadpool writer. More LOL RANDOM than having any thought put into it. Give me Gail Simone, Joe Kelly, or Fabian Nicieza any day. I haven't been able to read a Deadpool book regularly since they put Way in charge of it forever.

I kinda prefer subtle humour, but this could be good. Maybe it's too concentrated, since this is a trailer.

I guess I enjoy a certain restraint in my humour, and where Deadpool at his best is self-aware and totally disconnected from his situation, this comes off as crude and obnoxious in the most lazy way possible. "WOAH MAN BOOBS HAHA BEYATCHES BAZINGA". For reference; talking about the trailer, not making presumptions on the game.

While it's easy to see this being a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" kind of situation with varied audiences for both comics and video games, I have to give High Moon Studios a lot of praise for even taking a swing at making a Deadpool game.

So has anyone actually seen this game running? Little worried that it's a few months before release and all we've seen are trailers.

Well it's what I'd expect from a Deadpool game, still not sure if I'll buy it on day1 but I'll play it.
