I want fruit ninja with severed heads...

Got it around 3p.m. and I must say it looks great. You won't notice any defects in the graphics while playing it. I guess if you're looking for any and every excuse not to get something you never had any plans to get in the first place, you're certain to find something.

is it me or do the characters look kinda shit? like there's no specular lighting or something, it's kind of upsetting.

Damn, if only I had a Vita....

Yes the faces and lighting is jarring at first, but when I started actually fighting, the vita version looks nearly identical, the only ugly parts are the ones I do not care about looking good, the zooming in faces, the lighting of projectiles, and fatalities, everything else looks top notch.

MK has never really had a great handheld entry, although the NDS version of MK Trilogy was pretty good. Hopefully this will be the awesome MK handheld game the series needs.

While it would be nice if the graphics were better than they are, it is still amazing to me that they managed to put an incredibly feature-rich console fighting game on a handheld with ZERO compromise when it comes to gameplay and modes on offer.

This is still a pretty crazy accomplishment when you put it into perspective.

i still dont think i will get this, as much as i want to i know i'll end up smashing my Vita at the wall in frustration on how shit i am at this game, especialyl against the cheating POS called Shao Khan!

Plus, i still need to get back to the 360 version and finish that before touching another console version haha.

The only hit is the graphics but for a portable game this thing is jammed pack with content. It won't leave my Vita until Gravity Rush.

I'm always happy to see more Mortal Kombat, but this is still not something that is making me break my wallet for Vita.

It's got mini-games so who cares about the fighting game part.

The graphics look bad especially on kratos.

Check out Virtua Tennis to see an amazing looking game running at 60 fps on the Vita. Anyway, this is a rushed port for which they prioritized features/performance over graphics ( which is a good thing ).

Sure it can render single characters in a simple scene better, but they clearly didn't want the game running at anything less than the full 60fps like the consoles. So looks like graphical sacrifices were made to avoid sacrificing the more important gameplay. At normal gameplay distance the game looks great, but in close ups before/after matches you can see were reductions were made.

Not a terrible idea, I even wish NetherRealm would release it on iOS. I'd buy that for a dollar or even two!

I honestly felt that there needed to be WAY more Test Your Slice in MK Vita, including an online leaderboard to rank against your friends in top score. It's a lot of fun.
