Boy, I'm sure looking forward to seeing my property get destroyed, my family turned to casualties, and being able to do absolutely nothing about it.

Unless this game is about insurgents, fuck those guys

PC only?

It's such an interesting take on it that you have to wonder why it hasn't been done before in videogames (we totally know why but still).

Here's hoping they pull it off.

Did they miss the buss when everyone else got evacuated?

Posted by porjos

@fear_the_booboo: Agreed!
@wilshere: If only everyone had a place to go.

This is a really cool premise, they could go a lot of creative routes with this.

I hope it's good. I seriously hope it's good.

It's got my interest. The modern military genre has a shocking lack of substance when it comes to narrative, and the only modern military games I can really think of that I enjoyed for their story are the Battlefield Bad Company games (though that's more for the characters and humor than story) and Spec Ops: The Line.

This looks like it will, if nothing else, be an interesting experiment that will likely be quite different from the oscar mikes and oorahs the genre typically consists of.

Yeah, I've been waiting for this concept to come around. We'll see if they can execute it well.

A citizen accepts personal responsibility for the body politic, Defending it with his life, A civilian does not.

Edit: Damn you, You've sent me down a dark youtube path, looking at SST clips, I didn't need this before work.

Could be interesting if they do it right

Does anyone know the name of the song? Is it original or not?

I think it could be great shooter game. I waiting for gameplay.

That was, if nothing else, a really nice trailer. Man, between this and that execution trailer, I hope these games that talk so heavily on the subjects can actually pull them off. Would be fun to see games tackle tragedies in a more serious way successfully.

Is it only me or ... when I saw the last screen with the name of the game I immediately thought abut The Last of US... even like the positioning of the words is like The Last of US... weird...

@plato84: Would you like to know more?

@giantstalker: I think you're missing the point. The game isn't about fighting back, it's about surviving and the horrors of war.

Did that car just float ever so slowly backwards?

What a terrible name for a studio

I've always played a lot war focused games (as of recent I've been working on one) and it often makes me think about how war is represented in video games. It's always these nice clean conflicts with low levels of horror, gore, and civilians. "Oh a war between China and USA? Good thing everyone had time to abandon this massive city leaving a nice clean arena for us to play war in." I hope this game has something interesting to it, but I can't really tell from this trailer.

This is potentially very interesting, got to keep my eye on it.

I'm from Buenos Aires, and I say....wait.

Of course, you have to be careful about using Starship Troopers as a societal model, since Earth was the very model of a Fascist government.

Yeah, who the fuck trained that guy?

An underrepresented aspect of war and conflict for sure, colour me interested.

@giantstalker: Yes, let's have ANOTHER military shooter about running around, killing endless hordes of soldiers. Let's not pigeonhole this game before we've even seen it.

Ummm....amazing visuals?

Seems interesting.
