I don't know why people are like 'Man, forget this game! I'm buying 'insert game here' because this game will suck'. Why can't anyone look at this positively? It's going to be an awesome holiday season, with tons of potentially awesome games! Just because you can't afford all of them, doesn't mean you have to discredit the ones you don't buy to justify your purchase.
 
You know what you should be doing? Thanking these guys for working their asses off to create these games that are of considerably high quality for us. Therefore, thanks Tim Schafer, and thanks to all of the video game developers involved for giving us some tough choices to make this holiday season!

Don't worry about the 11 year old, Brutal Legend puts down his pre-teen demographic in the first scene.  He's just mad because he doesn't understand that Linkin Park isn't metal.

none of these promotions seem to do the game justice. judging from the "first 20 minutes" video on giantbomb, this game looks spectacular. maybe not as good as some of the games they're riffing on here, but really good nonetheless.

Jack Black dressed as a game character modeled after himself is one of the best things ever. Even if what he does in it is the opposite of funny... just being dressed like that is solid gold!

I don't get all the nerds crying about Jack Black. He might not be the funniest man alive but he is still funny, and being geniunely into this game makes him more awesome than than the million douches just yapping away at game conventions about 'how excited they are for this new game'.
 
I hope Brutal Legend is a hit to prove that original games that are made with true love for video games can sell, and that the only way to make money isnt to rehash the same shit over and over again to appeal to the kiddies.

im really getting sick of people hating on Jack Black.  
he was fucking hilarious in Tropic Thunder and he really did an excellent job with Brutal Legend, by doing the voice over.
