Today, You Can Play BioShock Infinite's First DLC

It seems alright, can't wait for Burial at Sea though!

Danm straight, one episode Noir and the second is survival horror. Two of my favorite genres!

Burial at Sea looks super interesting. Hope they are even 10& as good as Infinite.

@turboman: Agreed. The combat wasn't what made Infinite interesting. In fact, it sort of sullied the whole experience for me.

1 thing to tide people over, then two actually story related DLCs. The first part of which was EXCELLENT.

So they went the Fire fight route. These modes can be cool, but not worth doing DLC for. This should have been in the game to start with.

I really enjoyed Bioshock Infinite's combat, so this is cool by me. Bioshock Infinite is a videogame, and I think it's a pretty good one at that.

Still, I enjoyed the game as much for its combat as everything else about it, so I probably won't enjoy it as much without a story to drive it and moments to explore and drink in the environments.

Zero interest in this game having arena combat.

very clever, they knew that this would piss off a load of people because its been so long and its just a arena so they put out the trailer for the one people will care about first.

what isn't smart is putting out dlc that highlights the bad part of the game (the combat) and expect people to be as pumped when the burial at sea comes out

I plan on picking up the Season Pass with the announcement of Burial At Sea so I guess I'm getting this too? I'll give it a crack, pick up some achievements, unlock some concept art.

Eh, it looks solid and very Columbia-esque, but I didn't play infinite for the combat. This isn't for me.

Loved Infinite's combat but not a big horde mode guy so I migggggght check this out soon. Not sure yet though.

DLC like Clash In The Clouds is why I'm always skeptical of season passes. Thankfully I didn't pay full price for my season pass, so I don't feel cheated. I can see being annoyed at getting a combat arena for a story driven game that isn't really known for being a top notch shooter (combat is fine, not great). The pass is just $20, so maybe the episodic stuff will feel like it is worth it in spite of the arena DLC. Either way, this was close enough of a call to keep me firmly in the wait-and-see demographic in terms of season passes.

The Burial At Sea DLC does sound really interesting. Irrational are going more BioShock than BioShock Infinite with the combat system for the new stuff, so that sounds promising.

They didn't start working on the DLC until after the game shipped, so unless you wanted to wait another 4 months...

Also this is the worst, I don't think anyone wanted this kind of DLC for Infinite. I would have personally preferred to wait a few more months instead. But it most certainly is there just to tick the box of 3 DLC things.

That is disappointing. The first highly anticipated, part of the season pass, single player DLC is... a single player arena mode.

This, friends, is the cheap and throwaway DLC they can give you to pad out their Season Pass. Enjoy! :D

Sounds good. I thought the combat in BI was fun.

I knew I shouldn't have bought the season pass. I got it in an unexpected rush of loving the game right off the bat, but this is not what I was looking for - and as someone who is still too claustrophobic to play original Bioshock, the next one doesn't seem geared for me either. I bought the pass to immerse myself more in the atmosphere of Columbia, not this.

I tried it out this morning and I got to say it came out better than I thought it would be. I do love a good constant progression system.

I actually enjoyed the combat in Infinite... except for Handymen.

Was to be expected that part of the DLC/Season Pass was going to be dedicated to a horde/combat arena mode. Burial at Sea looks awesome though. Hope we get a level/section akin to Battleship Bay.

This seems like a quick answer to people bitching about it taking forever to get the DLC, when they actually did what we gamers all say we want, which is make it after the game's done and out the door. So not interested, the combat is the most uninteresting thing in Bioshock Inifinite. This seriously seems like, "well, people keep yelling at us to release dlc, so here, dlc!" where as burial at sea seems like what they were actually working on.

Yep. This one is an easy to make DLC. The archeological part sounds neat though.
