Tom Wilkinson, Lucy Liu, and Emma Stone Join the Sleeping Dogs Cast

Nice to see the cast for a game about Hong Kong is actually loaded with some asian-americans. And the white people PLAY white people. That's such a huge contrast from how Hollywood does movies, y'know? Like that all-white version of Akira that Warner Bros. was threatening us with for awhile :) It's a huge contrast even to how Sega localized the first Yakuza game a few years ago, with guys like Mark Hamill and other cartoon voice over actors doing all the voices for the 100% Japanese cast.

But Emma Stone? You don't even need a good excuse to put her in anything :) Man, woman, white person, black, asian, indian, alien - whatever; Emma Stone will be a welcome presence. I approve of this, Square London. Everything sounds great so far.

If by "All-star Hollywood Cast" you mean Mark Hamill and pre-Wrestler Micky Rourke, than sure, you're right.

Reminds me of the first Yakuza game. They got this all-star Hollywood cast for an Asian-themed game, and no one gave a shit and it was a total bomb. This game will be a total bomb. Well, not Yakuza levels of bombing, probably, but I doubt it'll set the charts alight.

Not great lip sync, but hey, I've watched my share of dubbed movies and didn't mind.

I came for the Emma stone and was not disappointed.

Anyway, i'm getting a stange Alpha Protocol vibe from this game. I know they're nothing alike but something about the presentation and the character's animations (bad lip-syncing included) remind me of it.

I liked the first True Crime, and as long as there's no weird stealth sections this should be fine too.

I really hope this game is good so I have another excuse to give Emma Stone my money.

I am really indifferent about Emma Stone's attractiveness. She is definitely not ugly, but she really doesn't do anything for me.

I'll take Lucy Liu and Kelly Hu over her anyday, and twice on Sundays.

Oh, I should have commented on the video. I don't know about the game, but I like the fact that the voice actors are into it, they really seem to be enthusiastic, and it seems like they're doing a good job on it too.

Looks like this game has a decent voice cast, I cannot believe I've only recently found out about this game. I think it could be a day one purchase for me.

edit: Man, Emma Stone has a small mouth for such a large face. She's not _un_attractive, but I can sort of see why some people aren't too keen on her.

For people saying the facial animation is bad, it's very clear from the mocap footage that they have those facial rigs to get better animations. Not sure why it still looks kinda bad though. Maybe it's just old tech.
