Seems like the texture quality in this Vita version has been severely compromised at the expense of the 60fps. I've heard Nether Realms optimization on this is pretty bad due to the lack of utilizing a certain rendering pipeline on the Vita, but I don't know anything about that stuff. I'm definitely waiting until it's actually tho and a few people comment on it before I decide whether or not to pick it up.

You will obviously be able to play without the touch controls... I think this looks like a nice little package. If it plays at a solid 60 I'm sold!

A lot of that was challenge tower rounds they added for Vita specifically. As far as I've seen, none of these touch controls are in the main game (except some fatalities I think).

I'm looking forward to playing this on the Vita. Especially after Mr Boone said, via Twitter, that this version will have everything from the Complete Edition and then some. I'm assuming the then some is the Mini Games, but I am okay with that.

Not that I think that touch controls bring anything particularly interesting to the table, but if there's one fighting game where dumb-ass minigames, touch or not, are a perfect fit, that's MK.

I mean, if I was fine with a fight in which two ninjas threw limbs at each other, OF COURSE I think Mortal Kombat spoofing a game called "Fruit Ninja" is a great idea.

man, that is A LOT of touchy mini games... I really hope there's a mode where I can just beat up dudes and not fiddle with the touch screen every 3 seconds. Oh please include a "classic fighting only" option :/

These minigame gimmicks are what killed MK in the first place. Thankfully its just adding to a completed game.

Most of the time I'd be pretty chill about harmless dumb stuff and call it awesome but that just got to me for some reason.

Touch controls are 100% optional. Most of the touching stuff they were doing is in mini games. Touching stuff in the actual fighting is restricted to performing X-ray moves and fatalities.. BOTH OPTIONAL. Also the mini games is 100% brand new content, no reason to complain about that.

For all we know, it's all optional, like UMvC3's "Touch Mode," so let's wait for some information. As for the mini-games, well, they're mini-games. Not much you can expect.

I dunno, man, these gimmicky touch-screen parts look REAAAALLY iPhone. Granted, they're still attached to a fantastic fighting game, but whew, they're not helping sell any copies.

If you didn't know, these are challenges in the second challenge tower that comes with the Vita version of MK and a lot of them incorporate most of the Vita's inputs.

An extremely exciting game, and this trailer has made it somehow made it boring. The touch controls do not seem like it something I want to use at all, please do better developers!

I don't think I need to play this game again.  Still hope that all updates are mandatory though.
