Looks neat!

Looks awesome but it's a tough time to start a kickstarter during holiday season. Especially for a game that won't release til 2016. But if it turns out great in 2016 will buy it.

I love that pink/teal cursive is 80's.

I also love pink/teal cursive.

Earthbound as fuck and that music is ace. The devs (obviously) say they were heavily influenced by Hyper Light Drifter and Sword & Sworcery, which looks like a killer combination. Devolver has a great eye for talent and having them in your corner hopefully means this comes down the line to consoles as well, even if we are talking 2016.

The creativity being put on display by independent developers over the past couple years has been staggering. Much respect (and my money).

My thought process: Oh my god! This looks amazing......oh, it actually looks like this? Nevermind then...

Could have used a bit more Buckaroo Banzai.

I'll take 1 please.

I don't know what was going on in this trailer or what kind of game it's going to be, but it was 80s as fuck and I want it right now.

Been following their tigsource devlog for some time now and it seems to be a gorgeous game. Just can't afford to back it myself right now. Good on them for the Devolver Digital deal though.

Looks great. This is the game about kids trying LSD amirite?

Music is stellar.

This trailer goes places, yet for some reason, all I can think about is rewatching "Drive".

This might just end up being one of those games I buy based on the music alone.

This looks very promising.

Yip, that's the word I was looking for!

Looks like Earthbound if it was made by Cabby Games

The developers are apparently based out of Sevilla, which is a cool town. The game looks neat! Kudos to Devolver for giving them a way to parachute out.

Is it bad that I knew that song was Dreams by Timecop1983, just completely off the top of my head?

This is looks rad as fuck

Is that music by M|O|O|N?

I don't know what this is, but if I parsed that trailer correctly, a bunch of kids in the 80s take LSD and end up waking the dragon. Literally.

I have to admit I was a little bummed when the art style switched to the pixel-style, but I should have known a smaller indie title would likely not be able to use an 80's cartoon art style for the entire game. Game looks pretty damn interesting.

Yup!

Really bittersweet nostalgia vibes to the music in both cases.

I was born in 1991, am I still allowed to have 'nostalgia' for 80's stuff? I mean, the music and TV shows and whatnot are pretty great in retrospect.

Sure you are. It was a neat time. Went and saw lots of good music in clubs. Maybe just choice but more guitar based...with good stuff also on the non commercial stations.

"In an interesting twist, it's a game on Kickstarter publisher Devolver Digital has already committed to publishing, even if crowdfunding fails."

But Keeping the Kickstarter open seems a little...disingenuous? Or am I missing something here...does Devolver get the rights to the IP if they publish or something?

What a cool trailer. I got upset watching because I won't be able to play it unless it makes it's way to consoles.

@assinass: Devolver clearly loves them some 80's synth pop. As do I.

They have been absolutely crushing it when it comes to putting out stuff that's genuinely cool and original. I may have a bit of a snarky attitude toward the indie gaming "scene", but Devolver is seriously doing it right.

Oh wow I will have to keep an eye on this. Some really cool stuff being published by Devolver these days.

Just for the sake of anyone interested, the game has been funded by today, 4 days before ending the Kickstarter. You can get that totally ballers soundtrack for only $5 as an Add-on upgrade!

This game has a really good vibe to it.

Yo that looks awesome.
