I really love the old school look of the Transformers. That's what they should have looked like in the movies.

This would be alright if its an RPG or something... and have that BIG ASS Axe as one of the weapons.

I'm so sick of publishers showing nothing but CG footage of their games. This strategy worked well for SQUARE for years, convincing uneducated gamers their titles had state of the art graphics, but gamers are far more savvy these days. 
 
If I were in the market for a CG Transformers movie, I would just buy Revenge of the Fallen. Show gameplay footage, or go fuck yourselves, deceptive marketers.

I hold out hope that this will be awesome, and I will continue to do so at least until I see some gameplay.

This may very well do the Batman thing of being a solid game, because it isn't rushed to be released with the movie, so I will keep an eye on this just in case, because a solid Transformers game would be a good thing.

I got an RTS vibe too Shannyboi.. RTS with action/adventure elements, that would be sweet. Can't wait for some actual gameplay footage.

This isn't going to be an RTS, in a recent Game Informer issue it said this would be a third-person shooter/brawler with a cover system, Which was pretty clearly hinted at in this trailer.

It's going to be a kart racer. Just kidding, I guess with the big ole robot dudes that shoot lasers, it could be a RTS, maybe even a non-base building squad combat RTS like that Warhammer one.

I really, really wish I could punch people in the face over the internet. HERP THIS GAME LOOKS SHITTY. This isn't supposed to show you the game, it's to promote it. 
 
Anyways, I am somewhat excited for this. The main reason I think this might end up being at least worth a rental is that in one interview, the project lead described this game as "The game I've been waiting 25 years to play.". That says a lot to me about how much the team loves the source material, and that is always a good sign.

I had a total hardon for G1 Transformers when growing up, and seeing this just rekindles the fire inside. I'm getting this game even if it sucks. 
 
I just pray to god that it will be playable like the Atari Transformers game on the PS2, and not as god damn shitty as the movie tie in games.

I'm confused, weren't the Autobots and Decepticons suppose to look in their native form (i.e. no relation to human vehicles of any kind) on Cybertron? I mean, the whole point they adopted an alternative vehicular look was to say incognito while on Earth. Can someone confirm or deny this for me please? Thank you. 

I hope this is to the Transformer games what Batman: Arkham Asylum was to the Batman games. Not based on some crappy movie.

Now I really want this to be good. It looks good for a trailer. I love the classic Transformers. I hope they don't mess this up.

Then the credits will roll and both will stand when they release a sequel. Major friggin' yawn. Also, why are the transformers having to transform on their home planet? In the original cartoons, they transformed solely because they were blending in on earth. Also, why are they turning into earthlike cars and spacecraft thousands of years before they even visited earth? The devs of this game do realize that those of us that were children when the cartoons came out are in our 30's now don't they? Friggin ridiculous.

i doubt the game will be good...but definitely looking forward to the story.

I got Omega Supreme for Christmas when I was maybe ten, so yeah, this is definitely bringing retro vibes!  Alas, what do we know about how it plays?
I'm a fan of the old school Transformers from back in the day, but the new ones grew on me, too (didn't like everything Michael Bay did with them, though.)  I'm stil optimistic.
