Transistor Makes Its Stage Debut Next Week

Shit, I though Bastion would be a tough act to follow... It looks as if they've passed it by a mile. Here's hoping the soundtrack is of the same calibre, it sounds as if it is.

not a huge fan of isometric games, but the art looks really great and the sounds sound good too.

It amazes me that smaller developers are still able to either budget for or find artists and designers that blow some of the AAA titles out of the water.

Between the soundtrack and art design, the gameplay could just be decent and I still think this will be an amazing game.

Opened my email this morning to find a review code waiting for me. Can't wait to get home and start checking it out! Bastion was breathtaking in almost every way, and from the looks of it, this amazing team has upped the ante with their second game.

@development: It's the sword. Same voice actor as the narrator in Bastion.

I just preordered this on my ps4. I loved bastion and I'm sure that I'll love this game too.

@fat_tomato: I've heard Gone Home runs not so well even on really good machines for some reason. Your laptop might be able to handle it. I, on the other hand, just have a macbook and a PS3! Gonna have to wait...

Bastion was damn near a perfect video-game and I have full trust on them that this will reach that level. Most awaited game of 2014 for me unless something crazy happens on E3.

Wasn't too excited about this one because I didn't enjoy Bastion too much and only made it through the first 2 hours before getting bored. But this trailer did a good job at rekindling my interest and now I'm looking forward to the Quick Look to see how the game turns out.

This game looks stunning! I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Did your lappie run Bastion? I bet you could probably run this game. Supergiant makes amazing looking but hardware undemanding games. I bet you could run this game with a 10 yr old laptop. :)

Couple potential reasons:

1. The 360 and PS3 are completely different architectures, and SuperGiant is, amusingly, a rather small team. Likely focused on x86-based Architectures first, and didn't have the time/money to develop Cell and PowerPC-based versions.

2. They had MUCH more success on every platform that wasn't a console than any of the consoles for Bastion. They also didn't seem to enjoy working with Microsoft too much (shock and surprise - not many people seem to enjoy working with them). They probably are one of the indies that Sony reached out to, hence there being a PS4 version at all. (At least for now. It's pretty likely that we'll see Transistor on every platform Bastion landed on, except for maybe last-gen platforms)

Was that Logan doing the voice for the trailer? If so I'm impressed. I was afraid he would just end up doing the Bastion narrator voice again. Glad he is more versatile than I thought. Granted I didnt know anything about him before Bastion.

Jeezy creezy, that is a nice looking game. Feeling pretty good about that pre-order right now.

I am also in similar boat not sure what to play it on. I'm sure I could coax my desktop in to running it but it wouldn't look pretty and probably wouldn't be smooth. Haven't jumped on to new console gen yet... hmmm. Hmmmmmmmm i say.

Will be getting on PS4 for sure. It'll probably keep Drakengard 3 in the shrinkwrap for a few extra days.

I never played Bastion mainly because it never came to PS3 but I am getting this for sure on PS4. Looks great.

As good as Bastion was, this seems like a pretty impressive step up for SuperGiant.

Also I really wish I had a way to play this! No PS4 and my laptop totally couldn't handle it. Does SuperGiant got something against the PS3?!

I'm excited to see Logan Cunningham is not simply repeating his Rucks voice for this. Here's hoping his performance in this ends up being just as memorable.
