keep that Ubi Art coming!

EDIT: Yeah, I will totally check this out.

FFXIII-2 has convinced me that attempting to make a JRPG without giving you an actual party of characters is a mistake.

That was pretty great!

I wish so hard this wasn't tied to Uplay :(

Who is it that has a boner for Alice in Wonderland at Ubisoft Montreal?

Posted by Elwoodan

This and Valiant Hearts both look great!

Posted by bnpederson

Okay, yeah. That looks damned interesting.

Were is all the spiky hair and angst?

Edited by DharmaBum

NIce to see their engine put to further good use.

Posted by Murdoc_

The art assets looks a bit rushed and sloppy compared to their other showings.

Yeah, everyone needs to go look up the Valiant Hearts trailer. Immediately.

And the ending is you wake up from the animus.

Looks interesting to me. I'll keep an eye on this one.

Oh shit this looks fucking awesome. It's like they made an JRPG out of pixiv art.

Goddamn beautiful

Lemuria? My Velouria!

Ugh, the first line I heard "Child, touch yourself in bed". Thank god I'm half deaf or I'd think I had a problem.

That is mesmerizing.

How come it's not a BOY? Typical Ubisoft sexist feminists.

That looked pretty great. Excited for this, Valiant Arts and more games that will use this engine.

By the way, your video player is fudged up GB.

Ooh, yes.

Posted by ImmortalSaiyan

This is the first game announcement all year to get me excited for the game. So good on ubisoft for that.

This game was just announced. You cant say it looks rushed or sloppy when it doesn't even have a release date yet. I'm sure as time goes on and they show more it will look better.

I'm confused, this isn't an open-world game from Ubisoft?

Posted by Tordah

Looks beautiful. Kinda reminds me of Aquaria.

Posted by JackSukeru

@sphinx: I...I sort of did that too.

Posted by logfella

@jacksukeru: Same here. I had to replay it 3 times before I heard 'tuck'. Not the best choice of words, either way.

Posted by DriftSPace

I was intrigued until I saw he turn-based battle. No thanks, Ubisoft. Looks lovely, but I'll just keep playing Rayman for a while.

Edited by leebmx

Wow...looks beautiful, gonna keep my eyes on this one.

But will it be in the vein of the mechanics and what's been capable from those systems or what is thought of when the genre's name is mentioned?

Posted by geirr

Looks neat and all but for some reason I think the protagonist's head looks..dumb? Or out of place? Somehow not matching the art style, I don't know. I'll stick with dumb.

And yes, the Valiant Hearts trailer looks neat too, and the heads there fit the rest of the designs.

Was kind of disappointed till numbers and character states began popping of those enemies. Looks nice.

Man, that Ubi-Art engine is fantastic for 2D. Can't wait to see what other titles in the works are running on it.

I was about to say the same.

Looks beautiful - can't wait to see more!

Looks great. Can't wait!

The art kinda reminds me of the old Winnie the Pooh illustrations E.H. Shepard did years ago before Disney got the rights to it.

OK yeah, I'm all over this like a rash.

For a lot of the shlock Ubi tends to put out, they're one of the only major publishers that allow for the development of every tier of game as well as some unusual experiments.

I hope this turns out well.

Posted by paulunga

I really hope this game won't be as basic and simplistic as Costume Quest. Regardless of art direction, writing etc. that game was just incredibly boring to actually play.

Posted by Hassun

@whatisdelicious

I'm definitely interested in that game, seems like it has a lot of potential and good WWI games are hard to find.

Posted by jred250

This looks awesome!

Posted by Enigma777

Damn, Ubisoft has been killing it lately. They're quickly becoming one of my favorite publishers.

FFXIII-2 has convinced me that attempting to make a JRPG without giving you an actual party of characters is a mistake.

But you had 2 party characters at all times... and a 3rd on you could choose yourself.
