I wonder what GPU would match the PS4 for graphics. Might just have to cancel that PS4 preorder and go for the PC version.

Okay.

Eh, I want to like it but it's just Ezio wandering near NPC's again isn't it? Ubisoft.....

Still seems pretty cool to me. I'm still looking forward to it.

I am satisfied with the trench coat physics.

Shame about that frame rate. Seems to be constantly below 30.

I love the assassins creeds series (well ac2/bro/re and ac4)
and Watch Dogs isn't doing anything for me.

It bothers me as too why for a while now and after seeing this video it dawned on me.

The things I like most about AC games is seeing a semi historic world. I tolerate a lot of the gameplay and mechanics of AC because I enjoy being in that world so much. But Watch dogs is just a empty city to me. And the gameplay looks tedious. I have been done with Open world driving since the gta3 games.

Hopefully the game is better then I get the impression of after watching this.

I'm interested for Watch Dogs. Ubisoft work on a very streamlined system at the moment where the poach good ideas from other games, so I'm sure this will be entertaining at the least.

@krullban: What are you talking about? my first sentence is a question and the second one is my opinion, nowhere in my comment do i allude to what i say as a fact.

Hmmm...Destructoid's impressions do not seem to jive with Brad's comments on the multiplayer side of things. http://www.destructoid.com/seven-things-i-loved-about-playing-watch-dogs-273653.phtml

Welp. Now I have to consider getting this.

Spider. Tanks.

I like that Aidan looks exactly like Tiga.

If Brad could stop saying the PC version of multi-platform games look and run better, that would be great. It's like saying the sky is blue at this point, PC hardware scales up and therefore will always run a game better (given you have a relatively powerful PC which would cost 2 or more times as much as a current console). I'm not trying to fight the PC master race here or start a debate or anything, I'm just saying it's rude and condescending to people that play on other platforms whether for monetary reasons or otherwise and it's a known and obvious fact.

I doubt this was ever touted or mentioned but straight up if this game has a ton of obligated video-gamey cover-based firefights I'm out. It's not the over the top of Saints Row, it's not the Hong Kong reference of Sleeping Dogs, and it's not games that actually take player choice about being a crazy/guard/merc-killer seriously so I'm good.

We tussled.

Yep, still looks shitty.

I think this still looks cool.

I've got it pre-ordered for 360. Don't have a powerful enough PC and don't wait to wait til I buy a One to play it. I trust Ubi to deliver a game that I will enjoy. I'll probably play it once and trade it in and that is enough for me.

Posted by ThatOneDudeNick

This looks like a lot of fun. The visuals still looks fine to me. The internet really wants to dislike the game after the delay.

Right? I've yet to see a single dog.

My outer-wear in chilly weather is rather similar to this guy. Got my sweaters that zip up at the neck under a black hooded trench-coat (more practical). Kinda weird.

This video hasn't helped me decide whether I actually want to buy Watch Dogs or not, but it has convinced me to purchase one of those batons.

And maybe watch "Out of Sight" again.

I knew this game was gonna suck since i saw the first gameplay vid.

YOU CAN SEE THE FUTURE! Can you tell me when the cyborgs finally invade? I personally cannot wait to sell out humanity to a bunch of cyborgs.

Posted by FinalDasa

This certainly has me interested in Watch Space Dogs again.

Glad to see the 6 months wasn't used to shove a game together and out but instead to finish a seemingly well-rounded game.

Can't wait for the QL to see if this comes out as good as it seems.

Weird. Future me is enjoying the hell out of this. He knew it was gonna be great, and he was right!

Watching this deflated some of my interest in this game. The missions will seem to much like Assassin's Creed with hacking, at least based on what's shown.

Yes but he is also saying it for the people who have a PC and a next-gen console. I have both and it does make my decision easier on which version to get. It's not always so cut and dry with this stuff. Sometimes the hit you take in visuals and frame rate are made up by all your friends having that game on a console.

I completely agree.

Welp, I learned that Watch Dogs is still an open-world video game with a hacking mechanic.

Is the excitement for this just people who are desperate for content on their new consoles? because this doesn't look very good.

Opinions. They aren't fact.

What does this even mean.

Of course it's an opinion. Anyone who says it will be good or not good is stating an opinion based on what they saw in the quick look. For some reason fanboys on the internet always feel the need to remind the people they disagree with that it's just an opinion man, as if that proves them wrong when everything is an opinion

Ok! I still want to see more of this game before I decide if I want it or not. Looking forward to more coverage.

Posted by TheManWithNoPlan

I guess it's not cool to be excited for this, since the internet seems to hate it.

Great vid. Meh looking game.

Posted by Minalear

Why did they decide to show off that robot spider thing? It would seem better to just let people discover that on their own, you know SECRETS in the game. Instead of being "OH LOOK WHAT WE DID, IT'S SO FUCKING AWESOME HAWT BAWLS!!!"

There are still plenty of shit PC ports and Ubisoft has a very hit-or-miss past with porting their games to PC. Publishers have taken PC gaming more seriously over the past couple years, but plenty still see it as a weird thing that they don't put much effort into. So it's nice to know if the PC version is optimized or not.

Although I'll be playing this on PS4 because fuck uPlay.

60 frames per second, maybe next generation....

Posted by ottoman673

Ever since the delay it became fun as shit to hate on this game. People calling out Ubisoft, saying the game must suck, the graphics took a dive from the preview, and therefore everything is falling apart at the seams.

What I saw looking at this is a competent ass video game with pretty interesting mechanics, and some pretty cool multi-player integration. Still just as excited for this game as I was before, fuck the Internet hipster bullshit hype/antihype trains.

Posted by Vuud

Yeah so it's Assassin's Creed with iPhones. Way to go Ubi.

At the risk of whining, I thought Unfinished was supposed to be quick looks of open betas and early access stuff, not scripted dev demos made to show the game in the best light possible.

@djm389: Friend, I don't know you, but I support everything you're saying.

"Wanna tussle?"

Edited by kishinfoulux

My hype for this game is totally lost. It was built up, and built up and built up...and then delayed and delayed. It's been way too long. I know I'll play it at some point and probably enjoy it, but man at one point this was THE game I was looking forward to. Now it's just another game in the pack.

Also way too much pausing in this video. Just let the video roll.

Edited by Pop

Can't wait to Watch some dogs.

Posted by MeAuntieNora

What was that game from like half a year ago with similar mechanics to what Jeff is describing towards the end. The character could "possess" or hack cameras and jump from viewpoint to viewpoint, and there was stealth involved IIRC. It was an iPad game and they implied it was coming for PC. I was really curious but don't have an iPad...

My brain says it was called "Resistance" but obviously it's not that. Something sort of like that though.

Posted by KingGiddra

I hope everyone is ready for another Ubisoft game where you climb a radio/cell/wifi tower to reveal your map.

It's the same exact game every single time. Don't try to fool yourself.

Posted by StriderNo9

Looking good.

Posted by LucidDreams117

It's amazing. This game's delay really dragged it down. I sure hope it was worth it for Ubisoft. We'll have to see what happens when we actually get to play it. Right now it seems like everyone's excitement has dropped for this and it's gone from "I can't wait" to "Please be good"

Makes me feel like this game has shown us its true colours. If a game like infamous can looks so damn good and this can't, I wonder what happened to this game.

Please be good. Please!!
