They also really seemed to hate a 5 dollar game that's basically just an excuse to hear funny dialogue. And Ryan is godawful at poker.

Alex can be a bit overcooked sometimes, but Matthew Rorie is just insufferable.

Man, I played WoW pre-release and thought it looked kind of cool. This stuff... it's probably time to update that graphics engine.

you just proving out why Poker night sucks.. is a cashcow fan service.. forget about devs actually trying to make a good game.. Just stitch some recognisable IPs there! people will buy into it.

@donpixel: It's far from the highest of anything TellTale has made but for fans of their characters and work, it's a nice bonus. I highly doubt these make gang busters and are probably there as bitesized projects to keep the teams creatively busy.

As I said, I'm not someone who gives a shit about poker games and the first Poker Night was the first one I bought (because why the hell would you play poker games just to play poker?) and enjoyed it as a vehicle for some fun character writing. That's all, if you find it lacking, I don't think even TellTale considers it a big deal.

Giant Bomb staff pulling energy drinks out from under their chair cushions is my favorite part of the site.

It's okay for Jeff (or really whoever) to not like Poker Night, but he's coming at it from a wrong perspective. The sell isn't on the quality of the poker, but on the cast of characters and the writing that can happen between them. If you like everyone in the game, it's going to be great. If you hate them or are apathetic towards them, then you won't care.

I'm not saying that Telltale doesn't have a lower-tier quality poker game on their hands, partially because I don't know shit about poker and would barely know, but approaching it like a browser-based poker game with zero personality isn't what it sells itself as. Telltale may as well have made a golf game with that cast and fans would have liked it just as much.

Oh my god... that would be... perfect.

Although tbh I'd take a full cast of Archer poker game, screw other characters.

I liked the first poker night but this cast of characters seems really poorly chosen. apart from Ash, but if he's not voiced by Bruce Campbell, then what's the point.
