If nothing else, that artwork is pretty incredible.

@h0lgr: I think it's possible to pull off a "tragedy of war" story that covers everything but yeah it might be more interesting if they picked a single person to attach the player to, not to mention how difficult it would be to write a good story for the former option.

I'm in! Story sounds like it might be worth the play-though alone.

Looks great but like all things WW1 it's sure to be depressing. Maybe they'll even make it sadder by leaving off at the Spanish Flu. Like you think you managed to get everyone back alive but then they die of the flu.

It'd make for a more interesting story if it were more personal, ie the story of the survivor and his family, and the dog, instead of the greater conflict. Or maybe how the conflict changes the personal story.

These Valiant Hearts trailers get me every time. This is the UbiArt game most deserving of anticipation.

Videogame dogs are all the rage nowadays! That narrator is ace as well, he sounds familiar, hope he features in the game :)

@reisz: Not to mention Darkest Dungeon, there's a similar vibe with that.

All good to me - now wish we could get a great Samurai Jack game as well.

Between this and Apotheon the "Fresh art style" game is getting pretty heated. This looks phenomenal.

I played this at PAX East! I was at the ubi booth and NOBODY was checking this game out. 2 pcs tucked away near Child of Light and Mighty Quest for Epic Loot. Played through the tutorial segment while talking it with the guy who was there. I guess this is a passion project started by two guys, including the lead art director. It's awesome that things like this are happening at bigger developers.

The build I played was a little fractured; the dog would occasionally run in the exact opposite direction of where I was aiming, but given that it's not due out until later this year I think they'll polish it up. It's got atmosphere in spades and I'm super looking forward to it.

This has the potential to be fantastic. I hope they treat the subject matter seriously and I wish it was coming to Vita.

I played this at PAX East, it had some neat design choices and was not what I was expecting at all. Strange that I heard nothing about it after PAX until now.

I remember hearing about this months ago, then it kind of disappeared. The look is great, and there are hardly any WWI games out there. Hope the writing is as strong as the art.

Same. I'm not exactly wanting another UbiArt let down due to abysmal writing (hey there Child of Light).

At least I'm more than happy to put down some cash for both purely based on the aesthetics. Can't say I didn't enjoy my experience with CoL, even if it left me wanting.

Hope that releasing these smaller, riskier games does well for Ubi.

Ubisoft Montpellier?! Haven't seen that before. This game looks really heavy.

Also this looks like a good game for @drewbert to QL.
