Wake Up, Bastion Is Almost Here

cant wait for this, been looking forward to it since the first time i seen it on giant bomb, got my 1200 points in the bank waiting to be instantly withdrawn as soon as this arrives. my hope is there isnt a bastion board game in europe.

I hope there'll be a Quick Look for this as it looks really cool and seems to have a fair amount of buzz.

This honestly doesn't look like something I'm going to totally love, but I'm still buying it, mostly out of curiosity after seeing all the developer diaries here at GB...I feel the need to find out how the final product is. I hope it does well, everyone involved looked like they poured their hearts into the project.

I am buying this day one. Even if I hate one of the dudes on the staff he was so annoying in the behind the scenes and clipped his nails during a.vid shot cringe!!!! A hint they made the game in his house.

Getting this game regardless and am trying to go in with an open mind. I hope it's good.

@EightBitShik: You're right. Clipping his nails during a candid video is at least as bad as pedophilia and close to premeditated murder. We should definitely hate him for that.

Will the bombcrew review the game? I guess everyone in the game industry kows everyone, but in this case the creators and critics are too closely intertwined with each other. Imo. Game looks great. Here's hoping that it comes to PSN or Steam.

At the beginning of the trailer it sounded like it was gonna be the most bad-assed game ever, but then the gameplay showed up and it looks like a cute and pretty funny mix of Alundra and Darksiders :D

Anyone know if this game is coming out for PSN sometime this year? If not, then I guess I'm just going to have to watch this through Youtube or somethin...

I don't know how someone wouldn't be excited for this game.

I have been enduring all this teasing, month after month, i dunno if I can hold much longer. If I see another Bastion video, I'm going to bust a nut right here.

Damn, that was a cool trailer, especially the ending. 
 
I've been flip-flopping on whether to get this game or not... as silly as it sounds, that trailer might have made up my mind.

I'd be more excited for this if it were coming to PSN. Honestly, the 360 doesn't deserve a game this cool. It's amazing to me the disparity between endearing, creative, stylized and memorable games on the XBL Marketplace and the stupid, derivative, "gritty", "realistic", creatively-bankrupt military shooters that reign supreme in the physical, retail disc-based world on that console. 
 
At least it's coming to PC later. And of course, I wish it the best regardless. Supergiant Games is literally working out of an apartment right now: ) I just hope the Xbox demographic responds to something this great. This belongs on the same console that supports titles like Flower, Echochrome, Fat Princess, Pixeljunk Shooter and Journey

I'm torn between what I think looks like a pretty mediocre game and my long time respect for Kasavin and belief that he knows what would make for a fun game.

This reminds me of Magicka in a way. Both games feature an interesting gameplay mechanic, but neither really have much to back it up. Bastion really looks like any other dungeon crawler to me and they haven't been fun in a long time.
