maybe they will bomb the whole planet after the chaos wave, but I didn't get through

hell I keep dumping heavy bolter rounds till it went overheated and still can't crack their shields

@vinsanityv22: from what I've heard, there are totally crazy things that happen, and if you have knowledge of the fiction/universe it'll be particularly cool. Just a 3rd person account though so don't mine me. Demo's are maybe the wrong place to get the assumption of such things though. There weren't any particularly crazy moments in the Uncharted 2 demo, yet look how that game turned out.

This is great! Perfect timing for this as the multiplayer maps were beginning to become a bit stale for me as I have played this often since release. This horde mode will tide me over until skyrim comes out. Kudos to Relic and THQ for providing this for the super value of FREE.

For some reason Horde modes in games tickle my fancy. This does too.

Yeah it's not dropped on 360 yet, looking forward to it though.

This game is still $50, so I won't be playing this:)

Played the demo; it seems a tad too repetitive. It's no Dynasty Warriors, but it also lacks the set pieces, multiple enemy types and numerous boss battles that keep, say, Gears of War's battles and campaign so interesting. Relic basically nailed some satisfying combat and called it a day, instead of designing levels filled with memorable uses for those systems. Which is kind of a shame.

If you ask me, the Outfit was a better action game from them. At least crazy, unexpected shit could happen in that Xbox 360 launch game thanks to the ability to drop units and vehicles from the sky. It was a like a toy box; a GI Joe-meets-WWII style toy box. And killing Nazis by dropping a tank on them > whatever Space Marine does. It's a shame that no one seems to remember the Outfit; I'm tired of people acting like Starhawk invented that mechanic.

@GeneralBison: The word on the Space Marine forums is that the Ps3 and PC updates are live, Xbox will be live by tomorrow, so I guess just keep loading it up to see if you get that title update...

I'm so happy that in my head I thought "boy I sure wish Space Marine had a horde mode, especially since DOWII had a survival mode that I loved". Bam here it is. Thanks Relic!

While im a huge Warhammer 40k fan and Relic is a really solid developer I didn't like this game at all.
