Warner Bros. Is Bringing Back Gauntlet

I played quite a bit of multiplayer Gauntlet on my Amstrad in 1992..

The older Gauntlet games were always total bullshit, but I was a huuuuuuuuuge fan of Gauntlet Legends. I'm kind of excited for this.

Loved Dark Legacy.. heres hoping they keep it in that vein..

Watching this also makes me realize how much multi-player Diablo is like a modern version of Gauntlet.

I'm surprised by the amount of Gauntlet Legends love in response to this. Was it one of those N64 games that people like because at the time they didn't know any better, like GoldenEye? I mean, Diablo came out two years before that.

Interestingly, at the time Diablo got crap for being a Gauntlet clone. As in "this shit isn't even a proper RPG, the map writes itself and it's mostly about the action. This is just Gauntlet". Heh. How things change.

Well I liked Magicka but I didn't play Gauntlet when I was younger, so to me the trailer just looked like a lower budget, more generic, uglier Diablo 3 which itself wasn't that amazing of a game. So I wonder if anyone is going to buy this besides nostalgia hunters? Or maybe they just need to make a better trailer to show how it's different from Diablo for us people who aren't going to buy in no matter what for nostalgia sake, shrug.

Really liked Gauntlet (in arcades).

Really like Arrowhead.

Really like where this is headed. I'm always hesitant about remakes of old properties, especially arcade stuff which was usually based on the premise that you're dumping quarters in it, but maybe they'll be able to re-invent it just enough to bring it into the modern age. Hopefully.

Well I'm glad it's not a Gauntlet MOBA.

I had so much fun with Dark Legacy, probably beat it at least 10 times with my friends. However, 4 friends in a room can make anything fun so i'm not sure if it was actually a good game or not.

I named my Diablo 3 character Red Warrior, and I couldn't stop saying "Red Warrior has gained a level." I hope it has Gauntlet Legends theme, or, similar music. I liked the music in that game. I'm thinking of Legends, not the old Gauntlet.

This seems like a softball right up these guys alley. I have a soft spot in my heart for Dark Legacy, so I'm really hoping this is good. Can't say I'm super into the faux-Tourchlight artstyle though.

I had Gauntlet Dark Legacy on the Xbox and was really sad when they didn't made it backwards compatible on the 360. Good news to me!

... you know what? Sure. Why the hell not. I could see that working. Consider me interested.

I dunno man...all the characters having projectile attacks was kind of a Gauntlet thing and this game doesn't have that. How are the melee characters supposed to shoot the food before the elf can steal it again and piss everyone off?! This could very well be a good game, but they have some convincing to do for me before I'm on board.

In short, looks potentially good, but doesn't give me a Gauntlet feeling.

This is maybe the smartest possible thing they could have done with the Gauntlet license.

Gauntelt and Arrowhead go so well together, I'm almost angry about it

i hope there is an online enabled version of the original in the game aswell
