I'm so happy that I got this :) IG Studios is about 4 minutes from my house. I dream of meeting Chris randomely and having a super awkward nerd to nerd moment.

I never thought I would love listening to someone more than Will Wright but Ken Levine takes the cake.

I have also realized how much I appreciate the kind of journalism that goes on here at Giant Bomb because I don't feel like I could get this kind of content anywhere else.

Man, THIS is why I love this site. Really great interview, great questions, and Ken Levine is really interesting. I love the conversational flow that Jeff can bring out in people. Also, 2012 is so goddamn far away and I want this game now!

I loved this interview, it certainly made Infinite go from "meh" to something really worth checking out for me. I really liked BioShock1, but I only played through it once and saw the one ending then YouTubed the other. As Ken said in the interview the pacing was a bit 'samey'. It's like I played it purely for the story and scenery, not for the gameplay. I ended up using electricity/frost-proccing wrench for the whole game too, which probably didnt help for the variety :P

The varied gameplay that require use of most weapons, the skylines/combat mechanic and some seemingly cool options given by the female NPC hopefully makes the gameplay as good as the setting in BioShock1 was.

@EvilNiGHTS: Yeah, they created a monster with that. A monster made of wizards and puffins. Fun aside: after their discussion on an old podcast, I still can't hear someone mention ODST without hearing it as Odious Tea.

I started watching this interview thinking, 'I'm not going to sit here and watch an interview for 45 minutes', but then it turned out to be the best and most interesting interview I have ever seen on Giantbomb. Ken seems like a very grounded and honest person, and Jeff wasn't shy to ask some hard-hitting questions. I hope for more amazing interviews like this in the future of Giantbomb.

Wow, I'm relieved to hear that they're addressing the Electrobolt problem. I'm actually currently playing through Bioshock again, and every time I play I want to try new plasmids but I can't bring myself to do it. Electrobolt is just too overpowered and does basically everything you need. Definitely looking forward to Infinite.

Really nice work, guys.  I would listen to Ken Levine talk for hours.  He really gets what it takes to make great games, and I'm glad that his team has as much freedom as they do because they've earned it.  The Shock games feature the most detailed, aesthetically pleasing settings of any action game, and they truly are the games' greatest characters.  The VonBraun.  Rapture.  And now Columbia.  Nobody does it better.

Bringing back the gameplay with RPG elements from SS2 to Infinity would be perfection.  Face it, BioShock had no RPG elements, but I still thought it was one of the top three games of '07.

It did not feel like I was watching a never ending interview at all, it actually flew buy, thanks you for not cutting it down to a 5-10 minute video. It would be really nice to see some more interviews like this, Ken did a wonderful job of justifying the changes and explaining there design philosophies and goals. Just all around a great interview. Hands down the best interview on Giant Bomb! I'm going to be honest and say that I liked Bioshock, but not enough to really buy it. Just hearing that whole interview really makes me want to buy this game though. I really can't wait!

Why does Ken Levine remind me of Ben Stiller?

EDIT: Also, those two other guys seem so fucking emotionless. They must be PR, right?

Great, amazing interview! This is the kind of thing we want to see from developers. They seem to understand the industry, what we like and what the essence for bioshock was in the first place. I am dying for this game, cannot be more happy about this since I loved the franchise. mad props to  Jeff and Kevin for this.

@ 27:30, I'm pretty sure he means Elemental. The head dev came out with this big explanation and apology, essentially stating they F'd up, and had gotten too close to the project. It was a good read, and regained some of my respect for Stardock. I wait with good hope for them to finish making that game great. It has the potential to be so. It isn't now.

But they're working on it.

An excellent interview. The weave-and-bob of the camera really helps the "fly on the wall" effect, as others have mentioned. This really helps me understand where he's coming from, and where the game is going.

Also, I just noticed he looks a hell of a lot like a grown-up, bearded version of my friend. Huh.

Like everyone else, I loved this interview. And I'm actually excited about Bioshock Infinite, which is something I never would have expected when it was first announced and I was bummed  about 'just some more Bioshock.'
And by the way, I didn't need any readme file to tell me Thief was awesome, so don't worry! :)
