Welcome to the Jungle of Crysis 3

I kind of actually dig this. Never played the other games though.

Can't wait for this one. Finally some new weapons.

Yep, looks like Crysis 2. Same weapon models, same hud. No sale for me. Those weapon models are too god damn big.

The way he's smoking dudes with that bow, you'd think it was Legolas underneath that suit. Or Ted Nugent.

Looks good. I liked Crysis 1 and 2 so I'll def be tossing a copy of this in the machine. Looking forward to it.

Meh, looks just more of the same. Crysis 2 was fine, but I don't know if I want to do that again. I wish they had at least picked a new city since the end of two really left them open to go just about anywhere. It could still be cool to see how the city has changed. How long has it been or are those trees magic?

Gotta re-use those Crysis 2 assets!

But yeah, will see how open it is compared to the previous one which I liked but I would still prefer they return to the style of 1 and Warhead.

Why this has the Crysis name on it, I do not know.. 

I like the Crysis games but the story is fucking nuts and makes zero sense.

Do they have fun and games there?

Well I'm apparently in the minority that thought Crysis 1 was extremely boring and the big open environments didn't do anything for me.

I don't understand the people that have a deep rooted love for Crysis 1 and hate Crysis 2. Both were pretty generic sci fi shooters to me. Just MY opinion though, I respect others that enjoyed it, good for them.

I actually thought it's a trailer for a special edition or DLC of Crysis 2 until the very end... I could get used to blindly opening RSS feeds.

Re-used Assets: The Game

Nah, but still, this seems lazy. It's also sticking with the Crysis trend of completely ignoring the ending of the previous game in the series. In Crysis, nuking the dome only made it bigger and stronger, in Crysis 2 we learn that they "nuked the dome like seriously hard, brah" which somehow destroyed it. In Crysis 2 all of the Ceph in New York were wiped out by their own spores, in Crysis 3 the Ceph were apparently not wiped out by their own spores.

Also, the ending of Crysis 2 promised us globe-trotting, not going back to freaking New York to fight the same enemies we wiped out completely the last time around.

well i liked crysis 1, really enjoyed crysis 2 but the whole alien thing is kind of played out. i wish instead of aliens you could fight soldiers, regular and some with there own nano suits. its funny, the boys on Epic Battle Cry pointed out the fact that you have this amazing technology (being the nanosuit) where you can go invisible and take lots of damage but now the big new weapon is ....a combat bow lol

its still a while off but jungle dome doesnt really do anything for me. this is a wait and see.

@Humanity: First one was FarCry like and it had couple of great ideas, it was more open so I don't really count it. It's the second one that got me thinking that I won't ever play a Crysis game.

Given how I like to play Crysis a bow sounds pretty sweet. Crysis is effectively Predator.

Can't be Nugent, he doesn't shoot at things that can shoot back.

I haven't played the first two Crysis games (though I bought them on sale from Amazon for digital download) and this looks amazing. I think I need to bust out the first two now that I finally have a PC that can chomp on 'em.

No, because Crysis =/= Crysis 2, cause Crysis was fucking awesome.

Looks pretty good, and bows make everything better.

Crysis1/warhead looked so much better than this fucking garbage.

Focus testing shows that males between the ages of 16-31 identify with bows and arrows.

I wish they went an made a Deus Ex (HR) type of game (with all the suit powers obviously) in the jungle after Crysis 1. But instead they just make some pretty cool slightly better than Halo and Call of Duty shooter campaigns. Meh. Oh well.

I think the deep rooted love for Crysis 1 comes from people who bought high end PCs in late 2007 and were able to run something with stunning graphics that used the full horsepower of their machines. Crysis 2, well...it looks pretty much the same on console as PC, and hence loses the one thing that made the first one unique and interesting.

Look at the trailer. "The best-looking shooter ever is back" is their first hype quote.

Anyway, I'm merely stating what it seems like to me, from reading comments, forums, reviews over the years. My own experience was that Crysis 1 was a very pretty slideshow at about 15 FPS on my aging rig at the time, and I never played 2.

So they've made it look even better. Well, thats just great. Now if they can make it run at 25fps+ on consoles at all times, well that'd be better.

I really don't know what to feel about the game. I wish I wasn't as disappointed in Crysis 2 as I was, this kind of just looks the same with a few new additions and a new environment. I guess if they have better voice acting, far less bugs on the console versions, I can go prone for tactical use, and better A.I. I'll like it more... maybe. I loved Crysis, this just kind of feels like the Call of Duty for Crysis. Another year, another Crysis that doesn't do much to differentiate it from its predecessor, except that means more to Crysis than it does COD. I guess I'll see.

So doesn't anyone who's ever played Crysis 1/2 pretty much agree that the best parts are the parts without the goddamn aliens? Why do they keep putting the aliens in?

Time to buy a new graphics card.
