He's probably referring to Remote Play, a rather minor (yet cool) feature that allows the player to play PSP games on the PS3 via some kind of wifi link. It's been around for a while (a few years), but I don't think it's that huge. "

After Years is kind of just bad fan fic. FFIV is the game that is actually good.

I've been working through FF4 on my Android snes emulator for the past few days, definitely still my favorite FF of all time.  It's also one of the few snes games I can plan effectively on a touch screen, because crack reflexes and timing aren't needed.  Golbez is goin down.

Why not take all the money used on that fancy CG and doctor up the in-engine visuals and sound? The 2 styles don't mesh well. I've never found that appealing in a game. "Look at our fancy CG- 30 seconds of this costs millions to produce!" 
 
Why not make your game better? Or make a new game?

Oh my gawd that was an awful trailer. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally looking forward to the game... but that trailer was literally painful to watch. I haven't winced so much since, well... the last square enix trailer.

I must say, I prefer the higher resolution pixel art look over the goofy DS 3D-remakes. I just might have to get a PSP to play this, again.. Mostly because I don't want to pay for every fucking episode of The After Years on WiiWare, it doesn't seem to be that amazing. 
 
I agree, give us an HD-pixelart-remake of VI, and I'll definitely consider buying a PSP.

If I could play this on my PS3 I would consider it, but its been way too long since Ive used my PSP and really dont plan to use it again.

Port this to 3ds and you might get my money. My PSP will be keeping its dust cage thank you very much. I'm sure that hardware will find a way to produce disgustingly long load screens with even 16-bit software.

I was mildly interested in this, until I saw all that CGI nonsense. I don't need any polygons in my olde school JRPGs!

FFIV is a great game. It's been years since I played it.

How come we have tons of versions of the older SNES games, but just ONE fucking version of FF7, the one most care about. Though I'd probably go for a 3D version of FF6.

Come on, just give me Final Fantasy VI with HD graphics! How hard can that be?

Did anyone else get to :43 and think, "How could those two girls have a baby?" :) I don't wanna be a dick, but Yoshitaka Amano seems only capable of drawing women. That is way, WAY beyond effeminate.
 
Anyway, it seems silly to me to call this the FFIV Complete Collection when it lacks the 3D version Matrix did for the DS. I mean, isn't that the pre-rendered cutscenes from that version? It sure isn't the CG they did for FF Chronicles on PSX. Those would make a nice bonus though.
 
It's a neat idea, but I'd prefer seeing FF6 finally get remade. Perhaps for the 3DS, Matrix will get around to doing Final Fantasies 5 and 6 now that they knocked out III and IV for the DS, as well as the Four Heroes of Light.

Wow, they couldn't afford to hire a better voice actor? I know it's just a trailer, but the voiceover is so bad it actually makes the game seem worse.

Allow me to assure everyone that this game will be a waste of money.  Final Fantasy IV on ***DS*** is amazing, the definitive version of this amazing game.  FFIV: The After Years is garbage, I've played through it all on Wii and it pales in comparison to the original.
 
Save yourself $25 and pick up FFIV on DS if you want to relive the magic.
