Awesome Friday show guys and thanks for archiving this!!! BTW I loved the fushigi segment with the Labyrinth background, props to Will and Norm. I like having a review recap for movie reviews definitely going to check out The Town!

I don't get why people are complaining about this being subscriber only. This was already additional content that was for subscribers only, just it was only live. They said they were working on an archive solution for subscribers that couldn't come out live, which has lead to this. They have said outright there is no plans for any of the current content to go paid, and after the Bombcast incident where both subs and non-subs unanimously screamed out with "Hell No" there not going to try that again. 
 
In my opinion Whiskey Media has been very good with their transparency with this whole membership system. They said this (archive) was coming. The fact that they can now tag videos as sub only means nothing other than they can now archive the Happy Hour for subs current and future. If they didn't put it up like this, it isn't like non-subs would be able to see it anyway. Nothing has been taken away, just value added for subs. 
 
The next Endurance Run isn't going to be paid. We all need to stop jumping to conclusions.

Some thoughts about the first Happy Hour:
 
Having @Ryan be the host is what makes this show. He's at ease in front of the camera, has clear diction and is able to keep things on track. 
 
Due to being in a different time zone, the live show will difficult to catch, but I'll probably check out the archived version every week anyways, as my life is boring and I enjoy the laid back approach the Giant Bomb crew takes to discuss stuff I get excited about. That said, it's not a must see, in the sense that any important information will be on the site or Bombcast, so I don't think people who don't get the live show will miss out on anything other than time spent with the WM family.
 
As this is their second stab at doing live shows, the WM family still got a lot to learn, but anyone who's been payng attention knows that this is something they do for fun, not a "product", and I'm looking forward to seeing how the show will grow along with their experience. 
I like how they're openly approaching this as part train wreck, part fan service and part "let's see what we can do with our gadgets", while chilling with some beers and talking to co-workers about geeky shit.
 
I do however think that the crew from the other sites should take some time to study how to be on camera, as it is way harder than it seems to people who've never tried it. They often talk to fast, and they don't let each other finish, which seriously lessens the experience for me, the viewer. 
I'll chalk it down to nerves and lack of experience, and I expect to see some improvement as time goes by, but they would definitely benefit from studying some basic techniques. I'm not saying this to slag them off. It's just friendly feedback from that guy who bought them a drink once, and now can't seem to shut up :-)

Why don't non-subscribers get the archive for free? Because then all the subscribers who couldn't make the live broadcast get screwed.

I was only a monthly subscriber, to make sure the bombcast would be free for everyone. But this friday show really reminds me of G4.TV.com show way back in like 2004. Great show guys. support you!

If you don't think their content is worth your support, why stick around? I didn't pay $5 for the Happy Hour, I paid $5 because I spent 100 hours watching one of their features. I'm not entirely sure how much time I've spent watching their videos, but it's well worth the subscription in my mind.

If you don't think it's worthy content, then there are straight up free websites with content that's possibly more suited to our tastes.
