Playing ME3 as a Soldier class seems like the worst choice you can make. I say constant biotic explosions via your combo choice (Adept using singularity and warp for me) is the only way to go. Shooting is what you do while waiting for the cooldown to finish.

Yeah, looked like Arkham City was just an extraordinarily poor port. ME3 seems totally fine on WiiU, just weird that they didn't put out the entire trilogy like they did for the other consoles. Really weird that the NeoGAF guys seemed to hate EA's WiiU efforts the most.

What kind of hand was the coffee mug in the loading screen designed for? Goddamn those kind of handles are the worst. You get a finger in there, better get ready to call the fire department, or anyone with bolt cutters. Worst fucking mug design ever.

While ME2 was the superior game, I loved ME3 enough to beat it 3 times. Glad to see the Wii U version is one of the better games for the system out there.

Still waiting for all the DLC so I can play this again and perhaps make a full game of it. Still remember how excited I was during the first ten hours... sigh. The ending was fine IMO though.

Blows my mind that Patrick has such hate for Twilight Princess... for me it's probably my favorite 3D Zelda.

On top of wrex's head shrinking I don't see why they didn't do all 3 games on the WiiU like with that complete collection or whatever it is called for the 360 and ps3.

Mass Effect one was fine...during the parts where you didn't have to play it. Seriously that game doesn't hold up AT ALL. If any company other than Bioware had made it, the series would have been canned and forgotten about. Thankfully, it wasn't cause 2 was pretty damn great.

13 times here. All on Insanity, at least once with each class. To say the least, I disagree about ME2 being superior.

Agreed. Mass Effect was the first "cover-based" (using the term lightly) third-person shooter I had ever played so I didn't know any better at the time, but even after ME2 had just come out I found it a chore to play through the original again. Now I wouldn't even dream/nightmare of it. From a technical perspective it's a 1-star game. Even ME2 is hard to go back to, the constant stagger in Hardcore/Insanity is more frustrating than the Geth in ME3 multiplayer.

@smcn: Maaaaaaaan. ME2 on Insanity is still one of the worst experiences I've had in gaming. It just felt like they turned up the knobs without any regard to how certain classes would even clear areas. I can't remember the exact boss's name, but it was like...a big heart or organ or something and husks spawned constantly around it. As a sniper....can't remember the class name...the thief-ish one, my successful run of that boss took well over 30 mins. I had to cloak, deaggro the husks, headshot one, run, cloak, headshot one, run, cloak, and eventually I'd get a chance to take a shot at the boss. It was an abysmal experience that I've been unable to divorce from the real, sincere enjoyment I had playing it on lower difficulties.

I didn't even try to ratchet up the difficulty on 3.

The Praetorian on Horizon, YUP. Worst thing ever. Insanity in ME3 is very manageable for any class, just have to watch out for grenades and combo all the things.

Insanity on 3 is much easier. What made it so hard on 2 is instead of increasing the amount of the existing health and defenses enemies had, it would actually add defenses to enemies that they wouldn't have on lower difficulties. Being mobbed by husks with armor was terrible because armor makes them immune to being thrown around with biotics.

Oh I totally know what you mean. Mechanically, ME3 is far above ME2, but I just meant from the storytelling and character basis I found ME2 a more captivating experience. Although I love the characters introduced in 3, except perhaps Kai Leng lol.

What the fuck. I didn't even like the first playthrough, so much worse than ME2, even mechanically it felt worse in places because of that stupid run animation.

That comic is such a disappointment, the handling of me2's story in...that just shows how much bioware doesnt care anymore. they're just another fucking corporation. :|

@LegendaryChopChop: I can see that, to be honest my favorite thing about ME3 is Shepard's development as an actual character as opposed to being a cipher. Agreed on Kai Leng, of course he's even worse for those of us who read Mass Effect: Deception (written by William C. Dietz, who wrote Halo: The Flood which I've heard is also terrible), to wit:

Fuck yes. I replayed through TP on the gamecube a year or so ago and it is a super awesome game.

Fuck the Wii version though.

Twilight Princess was.....ok. The wolf sections were fucking awful though. Of course, it gets the constant pass Zelda always gets because of nostalgia.
