I love that intro.

I watched WarGames for the first time last night and wasn't expecting much but I ended up really enjoying it and surprised how well it still holds up to this day.

"Number of Players: Zero"  ... he types out "Zero."
I love this movie so much.

Awesome ending.

Yep Wargames is still a great film and inspired one of the greatest game intros ever.

Whoa, that was Michael Madsen?
Finally found out where "Turn your key, sir" is from.
Haven't seen this movie before but definitely want to give it a rent.
Can't wait to see next week's WUTANG. Hot chick in a bikini FTW!

I remember seeing WarGames on tbs ages ago.  I should probably watch it again.

Ryan you need to do Cloak and Dagger and maybe even Midnight Madness.

Wow, good eye. We do, in fact, shoot at 24 frames.
Also, you're CRAZY.

Damn, whoever is cupping Michael Madsens balls is squeezing way too hard.
And damn you Ryan, now I need to watch Wargames again.

@Vorbis: Ahhh Red Alert 2, good times. *mumbling about how disappointing RA3 was*

Posted by SaturdayNightSpecials

I just want to restate that the intro is so perfect, it becomes the high point of each episode automatically, despite how much I enjoy the content itself.
Hm, both WarGames and Sneakers are streaming on Netflix. Ally Sheedy or Dan Aykroyd....difficult choice.

Dabny Coleman rocks a killer mustache.

best ending of all the endings

Classic ending.

"Turn your key, sir!"
War Games is pretty awesome.
I hope King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters is the next film featured on WUTANG. I feel a kill-screen coming up.

I was six when this came out, not sure I watched it back then but I sure watched it a hell of lot a couple of years after. All I had was a C64 and Squirm, plus a BBC Micro that my folks would bring back on the odd occasion. Certainly nothing as interesting as David was apparently using back then.
Great film, and a great review. I'm hoping for some more abstract film reviews though, the stuff that's not often talked about, like Tzameti, Irreversible, Martyrs, Tokyo Gore Police (for fun), etc, not just those in the fading light due to being released decades ago but more due to their rather lackluster marketting and more appropriately, their origination.
Cheers! Jode

I definitely feel guilty for not having seen WarGames by now.

Thats the guy from Cloak and Dagger! @ 3:55

What about the 2008 sequel Wargames: The Dead Code? I would love to see Ryan's take on that.

Boobs, man. Boobs. Think about it.

next week WUTANG is going to be painful to watch, going by that preview near the end.

I watched this movie last year. Still a solid satire.

I forget how old i was when i first saw Wargames but it had to be atleast 10 years ago.  I saw it on TV and i remember being very intrigued by it.  I think it's safe to say that Joshua is one of the most memorable computer characters in history!

"...like totally."

also, great lighting.

Oh the editing. So awesome.

Ryan likes boobs.

Edited by Tryptophan

You are the best Ryan!!  Super fun vid!
Wargames is still one of my all time favorites.
Back in the 80's, anytime I could get my hands on a TI-99, or a Commodore 64 I would try to log in to some imaginary back door like David, what a blast.
At least I knew enough programming then to make the TI-99 repeat K-mart Sucks while playing the theme for the Twilight Zone forever.

Doh, it just occurred to me that the new acronym for TANG is WU TANG.

Posted by rachelepithet

Tonight I believe is the last night the movie is available on Netflix streaming, though I'm sure it will be renewed it might take a few months.

Posted by xanavi

More importantly that boobs, check out that stomach and those legs! Yowza!

Posted by asdfghasdf

Man, it turns out I saw this film before years ago at school. I thought it was watchable, especially when I consider it was around 15 years after the film was first released.

Posted by DerekDanahy

That girl was pretty damn cute.

Posted by ashogo

The new TANGs have a lot more closeups on Ryan's face than before. Is it because of the new office?
Next week's tang seems...interesting. Looks like a vhs recording. Really digging deep this time, I see.

Ryan struck out with this review

Posted by infestedandy
@fedorajay:  Wow. Someone besides me has seen that movie? Honestly I was taken aback by how abstract it really was. It's very different but watchable, especially if you enjoy Cronenberg.
