World of Warcraft: Fall of the Lich King Trailer

Huh that game is still around? If only they could make the gameplay as fun and interesting as they do the trailers the game might be worth playing.

Man, and I thought Dragon Age had some dated graphics.

I havent even made it to Lich King content yet...that's probably because i'm not a nerd. Oh sorry, i mean, not 14.

I demand WarCraft 4, FUCK World of Warcraft. That game ruined the lore I loved during my childhood while playing through WarCraft I, II and eventually even WarCraft III.

Still though, it's good to see Arthas meeting his end. Even though I find it insulting that it's by the hand of 25 unknown entities and 100.000 times a week. Bastard deserves it after betraying Muradin.

Welp, guess I'm done with the Warcraft universe. I was waiting for Warcraft 4 to wrap up the truly epic ending that came when Arthas became the Lich King. Since I don't play World of Warcraft, that means I'll never even see this throw-away event that will wrap it up. The worst part is that I'm now in some ridiculous minority who really loathes WoW for what it has done to arguably my favorite Video Game world, and because they're just making so much goddamned money doing what they're doing, my opinion means less than nothing.
 
Oh, and no Arthas voice actor makes me even sadder. At least I would have had solice in hearing him in the cutscene/trailer.

I'm with you warcraft fans that hate WoW - I can't believe they're finishing in the Arthras story arc as part of this stupid mmo.
 
I don't even know how they can do a Warcraft 4 now the way they've laid waste to the lore and universe.

just to let you guys know who are sad about WoW ruining warcraft lore, stuff that happens in WoW is not nessiciarly cannon to the RTS series, for example if they released WC4 it would likely continue off of Frozen Throne, not WoW and tell the story as it should be told. 
 
not that WoW is bad though, i still think it's kinda fun (dont play it though) but i just don't think it's the best means to tell the warcraft story.

I'll probably be playing some of this during the holidays. Really well done trailer.

If only the game played like this trailer looks, WoW might still be a game I'd be interested in playing. But can all this content be done with just 1 or 2 other players? Probably not.

Actually thats not proof of that at all.  What it is closer to actually proving, is that things aren't bad just because YOU think they are.  When it comes to entertainment, if a lot of people are watching the movie/playing the game/reading the book/listening to the music, chances are it IS good, regardless of if you like it or not.  Also, owned. "

Eh... I didn't find myself jumping in my seat in anticipation with this particular trailer, like I have with others in the past. But none the less, the new Fall of the Lich King stuff is pretty neat, despite the immature community complaining about there being, shockingly, errors during the patching process.
 
The MMO hardly ruined the lore of the game. It's all there if you take the time to read and do things patiently instead of mindlessly following add-ons to the top. As for raids, they've made them a lot more accessible so that their lore and hard work can be seen by more. However, it's an MMO, and because of that it's a time requirement to do that type of thing. Videos exist if you can't do it. *shrug*

People bringing up the 12million players are abit out of date, the last update was over a year ago and since China has shutdown their servers the numbers have dropped alot. WoW is losing subscribers as they are making the game too casual friendly and recycling content.

Also EVE, Aion and several other MMOs have had trailers for patches aswell, this isn't a new concept.

So... killing Arthas would end the overarching plot they've been using since WC3, right? I guess this is why Cataclysm is coming out soon?
 
Whatever. I have absolutely zero desire to get back into WoW at this point. I've done my time.

Cool trailer, but there is no way in hell I am going back to that game.

Fun Fact: Arthas IS dead, The Lich King isn't. 
And there will always be a Lich King, so he might return sometime, somewhere.

Well they dropped me a free 7 day pass, so I guess I'll cash it in and reactivate for a taste of 3.3. I'm more interested in the cross realm instance stuff, seems like it will make pugging a little easier even if it's not more tolerable.

There's a thread for I'm-too-cool-for-WoW just devoted to a patch?  Man, only WoW.  Too bad the actual comments are so 2004.

Hells yeah, awesome trailer as always. But I won't start playing again before cataclysm.
