That doll sex simulator was a bit odd the other 2 were pretty cool looking and I'll probably check them out.

In response to the "dying at ocean simulator" thing. I know there's an SNES game somewhere that does pretty much that, but I can't remember the name.

It's probably SOS.

@patrickklepek There's some significant video chugging around the 9:30 mark. Not sure if it's your setup or the compression of the video that has introduced it, but I've noticed it on some of your other features lately.

Nonetheless it's a great feature as always.

P.S. MORE KLEPEK VO!

Not really feeling the Kickstarter demos. No matter how promising the game in question sounds games are shit for a while until suddenly they're not. Case in point that first demo looked like just slightly boring new age Ice Climbers. Didn't really look good on any level other than the visuals.

I think the second Kickstarter demo, Metroidvania Zelda 2, looks better but I'm not interested in games that are like Zelda 2.

I thought the first game was quite interesting. Cool to depict the confused and muddled thought processes of a child trying to work out what no one wants to tell them. That's was totally what being a young person was like. Mind you with the internet these days I dunno if it's the case for today's kids but whatever.

Savage looks very actraisery, downloaded the demo but I had no luck with gamepad support. Possibly DS4Tool doing something weird. Will try the next public alpha.

That first game was hilarious. Puzzling out sex at such a young age is hard, especially when you're surrounded by media that features it in such vague ways. Glad to see a game approach that subject matter tastefully.

Hey, Patrick! Thanks so much for giving my game, Savage: The Shard of Gosen a bit of play time and a shout on your video. This was awesome to see!

It was up there for one of my favorite things he's shown on this feature. Hilarious and endearing.

@patrickklepek: I know you post the links in Worth Reading, but it's really convenient when you put them in a comment over here too.

That being said, I played that demo of Savage, and it seems pretty great. The Kickstarter is only asking for $6000 and should easily hit that, so I'm looking forward to hopefully playing a full version in the future.

Savage looks cool, thanks for highlighting it!

There was another indie game that did the Final Fantasy type overworld with side scrolling, name is escaping me.

Jonathan Kittaka, who did the graphics for that first game, is one of the two people behind the wonderful Anodyne, one of my favorite games of last year that nobody talks about.

@pimblycharles That weird hot dog room was actually thrown together real fast to help celebrate "Indie" Dan Long's Twitch TV partnership during his 24 hour live stream. I grabbed all of the custom emotes from his channel and threw them int the game. I had no idea Patrick was going to include my game in this video - it was a welcome surprise :)

@chaser324: Hey, thanks for giving the alpha a try! I just did a 24 hour live development stream this weekend to help promote the kickstarter since it just hit day 15 out of 30. It helped a little bit . I will probably try another one towards the end - it's turning into a real nail-biter.

Patrick's outro to "How Do You Do It?" was hilarious. Some of the best material I've ever seen Patrick do off the cuff.

You Will Die Alone At Sea was incomprehensible.

I liked Savage.
