For whatever reason, the dialog boxes refused to record. I feel this makes the game more mysterious. Am I making up the story? What really happened? Has Patrick lost it? Third-person?

Damn it. I was just about to start playing Chrono Cross, and then I saw the thumbnail. Mario has come between me and Chrono Cross.

(By the way, Chrono Cross as a title makes more sense than Chrono Trigger.)

It might be a tedious solution, but you could recreate them with YouTube annotations.

@patrickklepek: I'm fairly sure we all see our own dialogue boxes. Our individual fears are projected into them.

Darn, kinda wish I'd watched the video before reading this now, haha.

Is this frog fractions 2?

Mega Man is God in all worlds. Also that game looks like someone just edited the DOOM template in Game Maker.

I feel like this is some sort of Rorschach test and we all learned a lot about Patrick really feels today. Of course you saw "dialog boxes" buddy. Of course you did.

Hahaha, that FUCK perfectly summed up how pumped Patrick was, I'm guessing.

I'd totally play "Copyright Infringement: The Game"

i really hope you dont put up a newer version of this video with the dialogue boxes, no dialogue boxes makes this video too funny.

detuned does look really cool, that glitch ghost was really unexpected. I agree they should definitely expand on that and make a full game.

When I see Nintendo world EX I understand Nintendo's draconian treatment of the internet. They probably truly think something like that devalues their characters.

@patrickklepek: Did you ever play Memory of a broken dimension which Jeff played on an UPF last year? It was that game where you had to tune radio frequencies (if I recall correctly, it had something to do with satellite communication at least) in order to even see the game world. Looked really neat.

I like how the final area in Detuned actually glitches out the video compressor with all the artifacting going on.

MoaBD is really cool but the whole satellite thingy was just starting the game by typing in a couple of commands in a "console". The game itself is, you bringing in parts of the world by positioning yourself with the help of different tones. Maybe that didn't make any sense at all but I think Patrick should definitely look into it.

Finnaly Jeff finished his fan fiction! I've been waiting for so long!

I'm so SO fucking happy that the 'dialog boxes' 'refused' to record. That was incredible.

OK, after something like this, I might finally have to use my store credit from my membership to get the Patrick hot dog t-shirt. Now I wonder, mustard yellow or ketchup red? It's like choosing Pokemon versions circa 1999 all over again.

I streamed Nintendo World 2 at some point and they didn't record for me either. I think it has to do with the default text boxes for games made in Game Maker being popups not embedded in the game screen.

I've also played a few other games by the Nintendo World guy and they are all very wonky and generally terrible, but in highly amusing ways (especially his Castlevania fangame, it's so awkward to play but in a way which is at least very entertaining).

GiantBomb is going into some weird places. Vinny and the Bot game and now this.

It feels like the developer had no original ideas, but still wanted to make a game.

This video has a lovely sense of utter confusion about it.

I definitely agree, I would assume patrick has already seen it, but it is extremely interesting anyway. Sadly I think you can only currently get the scene/level loader, although the level loader is already pretty awesomest.

Also that detuned thing was rad. And.. we're doing something sort of with that.. but it's only in early alpha.

If you liked Shovel Knight so much... why not give it 5 stars?

Something about the Detuned entity design creeped the living hell out of me when I played through it. I also completely did not expect the game to have a monster in it, so when it started floating toward me, I was paralyzed with fear.

Nintendo World 2 EX is the right kind of "what the fuck."

I like the reality in which Jeff goes home from work each day and feverishly programs these games all night.

It reminds me of the garbage doom mods that were rampant 20 years ago. Some things never change. Nothing interesting here at all, in my opinion.

Detuned on the other hand has an idea that might be interesting in the right context, but I don't think commanding geometry to appear/disappear is interesting. The visual style of the glitched pieces was cool though.

I'm glad Patrick plays these so we don't have to.

I didn't understand the insane pauses you had, and I figured it must not be showing some kind of text. I was thoroughly baffled. Glad you saw that those are missing.

@patrickklepek We did make this game when we were six, but it was all about hacking it together as a Doom WAD.
