Man I haven't owned or played a wrestling game since WWF War Zone.

No offense to the people at Yuke's, their games have certainly been competent and experimented with interesting ideas, but I'm really hoping that Take Two can do something with this WWE license in the years to come.

Dammit, we need a new developer for these games.

Wow this game looks like crap. The models look like they have less detail than WWE '13. They look... cartoony. I was excited when I saw WWE 2K14 is coming out on my birthday but after seeing that trailer I don't know if I want it. I'm going to need to see a lot more before I dish out $60 for this game.

Was hoping for a next gen wrestling game on Xbox One and PS4 this year. Guess we won't get it til next year.

Also, what I want someday in another video game is the four-person shared season mode that RAW 2 for the XBox had. The game was shit, but that mode was fun. Dropping boxes and anvils on friends, trying to get a tag team title match, jumping each others' opponents backstage...good times, even with that awful AI and terrible engine.

By "do something with," do you mean give the series to someone else? If so, I would agree.

I'm not a wrestling fan, but as a fan of video games, it's always bothered me how these very popular games can be so consistently and aggressively middling. From what we can see here, it doesn't seem like that's changing with the jump to 2K. Yuke's just needs to stop.

@jjweatherman: Yeah, I'm hoping we'll see a new developer. I'm sure development of this game had already started prior to 2K obtaining the license, so I don't fault them for just seeing things through to the end.

I watched this trailer on the Roku Box and I honestly thought it was a Vita game. I can't believe this is for the 360/PS3.

I'm guessing that Yukes was originally rushed by THQ to make as bare a sequel as possible. Once 2K had the license, the development for WWE14 was already well under way and it wouldn't make since for 2K to skip this year since the WWE franchise will turn a profit either way. I think I heard in some interview somewhere that a new engine was on its way for next year's game.

So I guess they aren't going to change the visuals at all huh? I mean I picked up WWE 13 for the Attitude Era stuff and put up with the ugly graphics and stiff animations to play as Mankind and classic Jericho, buying the same game just to play as a really crappy looking Macho Man isn't happening. Also could CM Punk's hair look anymore like a wig there? Disappointing.

If they take out the story and character creation options, this game will be dead to me.

I liked WWE 13 well enough, but those elements were really all it had going for it besides pretty decent reversal mechanics.

Maybe the next gen versions will look better than Raw 2 on the Xbox.

Is anyone genuinely excited about a new WWE game anymore solely for the current era stuff and not because of the inclusion of the Attitude Era? Do these people exist?

Also, is this Ryback character's gimmick a crossbreed of Rhyno/Goldberg?...
